After Raw on Monday, do you still think that they took the Title off of Jey Uso too soon?
I do, yes but given that he will be involved with Roman in a top program, and they wanted to get Gunther/CM Punk, I get why they did it. Being with Roman is a main event spot.
After their big All In in Dallas where a new champ was crowned Dynamite beat NXT by 2,000 viewers and both were under 600,000. AEW should have drawn a much larger audience, why not open with Darby Allin joining Hangman, the crowd would have popped and capitalize on starting a new program/chapter for the promotion. Instead they do nothing different. Their main event with a new world champ was in a six man tag! NXT had a women’s 6 woman with match with at the time TNA’s knockout champ as the main event. When will the people who sign the checks at MAX or WBD wake up and get a professional to run things since they are paying $175 mil a year not a great return on an investment so far.
I was surprised that the Dynamite number wasn’t higher as well. It was their biggest show of the year and I would have thought more fans would have tuned in to see where things are going. As for WBD, they knew what AEW was when they gave them the new deal.
So WWE were running ads saying that rapper Cardi B was going to be the host of Summerslam this year but recently those ads have seemingly disappeared and when they talk about the card on TV they don't mention her. Has she been pulled as host?
I have not heard that she has been pulled as host but I agree they haven’t done much to promote her being there. For whatever it’s worth, she has been tweeting about WWE on her page: https://x.com/iamcardib.
Where is Austin Theory? He was last seen arguing with Grayson Waller a few weeks ago. Now, we just see Waller with the New Day. Speaking of a Raw tag team; where are Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate? They’re really needed to bolster the Raw tag division.
As Waller said on Raw, the team has been broken up, which is probably a good thing since it wasn’t headed anywhere. Waller said Theory was injured, but he appeared Main Event last week. It seems like they are turning Theory and my guess is he will come looking for Waller.
Slammiversary was a fantastic show but my question is every time there is top TNA talent versus NXT talent, The TNA talent loses. No way Masha should have lost to Jacy and Santana not to get his moment seems wrong. I understand the expo and probably money but what can be done to make top matches for titles go to TNA wrestlers?
I am with you on both counts. TNA obviously gets something important (money, exposure) out of the deal with WWE, but I agree that if their talents keep losing to NXT talents, it makes NXT look superior and that is a slippery slope.
