MIKE SANTANA VS. CALVIN TANKMAN & MORE: 7/13 ETU SUMMER MADNESS IN RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ LIVE REPORT

By Matt ten-Hoeve on 2025-07-13 21:46:00

Expect the Unexpected (ETU) presented Summer Madness 3 LIVE at The Mecca in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey and on IWTV today - July 13, 2025. Below are the results:

1) Brayden Toon defeated Devious Cass. Toon was originally scheduled to take on Conan Lycan, but Lycan was unable to make the show. Toon didn’t travel all the way from Alabama for nothing, though. He wanted a fight and he wanted one right away. That brought out the debuting Devious Cass. This was a back and forth match with Toon getting the victory and Cass getting a “Please come back!” chant.

2) Ikuro Kwon defeated Matt Mako. With The Expected facing some struggles lately, Kwon wanted to test Mako. Therefore, this was a “Test of Heart Match” - no count-out and no time limit. They both yelled at each other about how ETU should be all about The Expected in a very stiff match that spent time on the outside to start. Kwon hit the final blow, though, and took the victory. After the match, the two members of The Expected hugged and seemed to be back on the same page.

3) Janai Kai defeated Lena Kross by submission. When Kai was first announced for Summer Madness 3, her opponent was going to be B3CCA. B3CCA quickly sent in a video that stated that she was unavailable for the show due to needing to get tan for her world tour. In her place, B3CCA sent Lena Kross who took it to Kai in a physical match. Kai ended up winning by submission, but Kross put up a fight and did not tap - she passed out and didn’t answer the referee’s check in. After the match, it was explained that B3CCA was watching from her tour and will be returning soon.

4 - The Expected (Austin Luke and Gabriel Skye) defeated Ken Broadway and his mystery partner - Alec Price. Price was a surprise and The Mecca went crazy when his music hit. Both teams worked well together and the momentum switched multiple times. Eventually, Ikuro Kwon and Matt Mako came out and helped their partners in The Expected by distracting Broadway and Price. Despite the distraction, Broadway and Price gained the advantage and set up for a double dive on The Expected. Just as they hit the ropes for the dive, Price turned on Broadway and laid him out - allowing The Unexpected to get the win. Price then got on the microphone and said that he has been a forgotten man in ETU despite helping the company get off the ground. Kwon said that The Unexpected is stronger than ever and will be taking over ETU and then burning it to the ground. The Killionaires Club ended up running out to save their partner, Broadway.

5) Dezmond Cole defeated Ultra Jaguar, BK Westbrook, and Juni Underwood in a Four-Way Match that was contested under Dragon Gate Rules. Cole pinned Underwood. After the match, Cole let it be known that he was happy to be back in ETU after spending some time away due to a torn MCL. Now that he’s back, Cole wants to get back to the top…which brought out Joshua Bishop. Bishop said that if Cole wants to get to the top, then he’ll have to get through Joshua. Since Sam Holloway had to miss the show (and the #1 Contenders Match against Bishop), why not give it a try now? Cole agreed.

6) Key To The East #1 Contenders Match: Joshua Bishop defeated Dezmond Cole. As mentioned above, Cole filled in for Sam Holloway. Two matches in a row proved to be too much for Cole, though, despite fighting hard. Bishop is now the #1 Contender to the Key to the East Championship.

7) Atlantic Tag Team Championship Match: Killionaires Club defeated High Flying Star Machines to retain the titles when J Boujji pinned Diego Hill. This was a back and forth tag team match with a bit of zest behind it after a lot of smack talk between J Boujji and Bojack on social media. Ken Broadway came out to help pump up his Killionaire Club partners. Despite the smack talk, both teams showed respect to each other after the match. The Killionaires Club made an announcement after the match - since they’ve been in ETU for a while, it’s time they put on a show. On September 28, they’ll be putting on a show for ETU called “I Really Mean It.”

8) IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship Match: Marcus Mathers defeated Joseph Alexander to retain his title. After the match, Mathers showed respect to Alexander and called him the future face of independent wrestling. Mathers said that he wrestled in Paris yesterday and got to today’s show just in time. He hustled because he loves ETU. He mentioned that he wants people like Alexander to keep stepping up because he might not be able to anymore in a few months (remember: Mathers is a WWE ID talent).

9) Key To The East Championship Match: Mike Santana defeated Calvin Tankman to retain his title. Tankman did a great job of taking it to both Santana and the crowd, as the crowd was on his case and in full support of Santana. Santana gave Tankman a nod of approval after the match and the two men showed respect to each other. Santana also put over Marcus Mathers in his post-match speech. Santana said that he wants to keep fighting the best of the best in ETU.

ETU returns to The Mecca on September 28 and will be streamed live on IWTV. Their shows are also on demand on IWTV.
