Hosting a special event at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds outside, Wrestling REVOLVER held REVOLVER Roulette, continuing their accelerated pace, which is good for everyone.
Bork Torkelson and Jay Street on commentary, Street's debut. Every match was determined by a blind draw (hence the name) before the show.
They opened with Damien Chambers beating "Big" Dick Meyers of Alpha Sig. Chambers endears himself to the live audience, burying the event and them while he sipped a bottle of water. This was pretty good considering how inexperienced Meyers is. Torkelson had so much fun with Meyers and his nickname, he was almost distracting and not in a good way. We got it. Relax.
Youtube/podcasting star BDE continues his rookie year, facing the most decorated veteran he's ever faced in former TNA World and X Division and WWE Cruiserweight champion and former everything in WR, Rich Swann. Nice match and athletic display. BDE is a nice kid but there is no way he should go over 8 min with a guy like Swann. He's only won 1 match but, for me, he's too competitive with these high quality superstars.
Code of Honor adhered.
TNA Knockout Killer Kelly teamed with former TNA Knockouts World champion Jessica Havok to beat Rachel Armstrong and Katie Arquette in the first tag match of the evening and only Women's match of the event. Nice match with Armstrong taking most of the heat. Too much size as Havok counters an Armstrong crossbody with a tombstone piledriver.
Crash Jaxon got back in the Win column, winning a 6 Way Scramble match over fellow WR mainstay Bigg Pound, the returning for his second WR event and impressive Dex Royal, veteran Derek Dillinger, and the debuting Amazanga, a real giant of a man, and his exact opposite, the incredibly lean, "Starman" Harley Rock.bvGood comedy with Rock trying to and failing to bodyslam all the much bigger men in the match. It was pretty cool when he finally got in a slam and a suplex.
L. This wasn't the high spotfest most of these are due to having so many huge men in it and I liked it. Entertaining shenanigans.
"The Inevitable" Ace Austin beat Juni Underwood, a very promising and active star on the independent scene. Underwood's best performance to date in WR.
Alpha Sig (Brent Oakley, KC Jacobs) got back in the W column since losing the tag titles, winning a 3 way bout against Latino's Most Wanted (Koda Hernandez, Sabin Gauge) and the random team of veteran Jimmy Jacobs (his first WR match in 3 yrs) and KJ Reynolds of the Tye or Die team. Reynolds had a different look to him, probably the influence of Jacobs. Oakley and KC Jacobs hit their double team Par-Dee face plant on Jimmy Jacobs for the win.
In a wild 4 Way Street Fight, "The Young GOAT" Myron Reed (with Killer Kelly) successfully retained the Wrestling REVOLVER title against Facade (his first WR match since last Oct), WR favorite "Firestarter" Jake Crist, and Dante Leon.
It's an outside event so no doors as you would expect but they did brawl all over the ringside area, including an impressive dive from the bleachers from Facade onto Reed and Leon.
A solid event with a lot of good action. Might not stand out in this loaded weekend but a good 2 hour show.
