A match from the vault is shown: Jake Something vs. Mike Santana from Slammiversary 2024. Below is my original write up of the match:
Jake Something vs. Mike Santana
Mike Santana enters through the crowd. The bell rings and both men soak in the hot crowd. They are loving Santana.
They circle each other and lock up. They keep the lock up going and the ref has to break it up on the ropes. They separate and then do some catch wrestling when they come back together. Santana grabs a headlock. Something whips him into the ropes, they collide and neither man budges. It happens again. And again…but Something follows him in and gets a big tackle. Santana goes to the outside and Something hits a dive.
Santana is rolled back into the ring and he uses the positioning to kick Something before hitting a big dive of his own. He hits a big chop on Something on the outside and Something rolls back in. They exchange a shot or two before Santana takes control with a big chop and a charge to the corner. Something hits an elbow, but Santana hits a German suplex for a one count.
Santana grabs a headlock and Something fights up to his feet. He breaks free and hits the ropes, but meets a big chop by Santana. Santana grabs another headlock that Something fights out of - this time with more power. Something now has the advantage and whips Santana into the corner hard.
Something stomps Santana down into the corner. He circles the ring and is met by a kick by Santana, but Something regains control quickly and hits a suplex. Santana pushes Something off a few times and then gets a big kick in. He jumps over Santana and hits another leaping kick. Santana tries to Spin the Block, but misses. He stills gets Something down for a two count.
Some counters happen and then Santana hits Outlined in Chalk. He has Something down in the corner for a cannonball - gets a two count. Santana strikes Something a couple of times with his elbow and then tries to flip into Something in the corner. Something catches him and hits a sitdown powerbomb for a two count.
Something goes to the ropes and gets to the top, but Santana leaps up with him and hits a top rope German suplex. Both men exchange blows as they get to their feet and Santana hits a superkick. More exchanging of blows and Something gets hit again. Santana is able to Spin the Block and picks up the win!

Around the Ring with Gia Miller
This week’s guest on Around the Ring is Jake Something. Something had bicep surgery in February. During his time off, Something thought a lot and trained as much as possible. He got back quicker than expected. Gia Miller felt like there was a missing piece in the locker room with Something gone. When Something doesn’t work out, he works on his garden. Something and Miller talk about the vegetables they’ve grown and bond over turnip greens. They talk about cross pollination when it comes to growing vegetables and fruits.
In Case You Missed It
The Hardys and The Rascalz vs. First Class and The Nemeths from last night’s iMPACT! is shown. Here is my write up from last night’s report:
TNA World Champion Trick Williams joins the commentary table for the main event.
As announced during the Injury Report, Myron Reed replaces Trey Miguel as Zachary Wentz’s teammate on The Rascalz.
Myron Reed and Nic Nemeth start things off. Nic ducks a lock up and rolls Reed up for a two count. Nic ducks a test of strength and grabs a side headlock. Nic is sent to the ropes. Reed hits a leapfrog/drop down and then takes Nic down to the mat and hits a leg drop. Wentz tags in and The Rascalz take turns kicking Nic. Wentz hits a double stomp to Nic’s back. Nic rolls to the corner and tags in Ryan Nemeth. Ryan charges at Wentz, who ducks. Reed lifts up Ryan and uses the ropes to spring him back to Wentz who hits a neckbreaker for a two count. Ryan tags in AJ Francis. Wentz tags in Jeff Hardy.
Francis calls for a test of strength, but Jeff dances and pushes AJ. Francis catches a kick from Jeff. Jeff hits a spinning back kick and a jawbreaker. Francis charges at Jeff in the corner, but Jeff moves and chops at Francis. Jeff hits a Twist of Fate. Francis rebounds off of the ropes and Jeff hits another Twist of Fate. Matt Hardy tags in and The Hardys hit Poetry in Motion on Francis. The Hardys send Francis to the opposite corner and Wentz tags in. Wentz hits Poetry in Motion and then a standing moonsault for a two count.
Francis lifts up Wentz, but Zachary slips out of it and lights up Francis with punches and a leaping kick. Francis recovers and drives Wentz into the corner. Navarro holds Wentz’s hair, which allows Francis to hit a splash on Wentz. Nic tags in and Francis whips him into a splash on Wentz as the show goes to a break.
Back from the break, Nic has Wentz down on the mat in a chinlock. Wentz stands up in it, but Nic tugs him back down to the mat. Nic sends Wentz to the ropes and Zachary hits a handspring knee. Wentz tags in Matt. Nic tags in Ryan. Matt comes in hot and clotheslines Ryan. Matt hits a back elbow and then DELETES Ryan in the corner. Nic rushes in and eats a Side Effect. Matt hits a Side Effect on Ryan for a two count. Matt sets up for a Twist of Fate on Ryan, but sees that Nic tugged Jeff off of the apron and hit him with a superkick.
The distraction allows Ryan to try and whip Matt into the ropes. Matt reverses and Francis makes a blind tag on Ryan. Matt hits a Twist of Fate on Ryan, but Francis comes in and clubs down on Matt. Francis sends Matt to the corner and rushes in on him. Matt dodges Francis and climbs to the bottom rope for leverage so that he can hit a Side Effect on the bigger Francis. Matt DELETES Francis in the corner. Matt goes for a Twist of Fate on Francis. Francis blocks it, but eats a DDT from Matt. The Nemeths break up the pin. The Rascalz send The Nemeths to the floor and hit dives on them.
Matt climbs to the second rope, but Trick Williams leaves the commentary table and distracts him. Francis grabs Matt for a Down Payment. Matt fights out of it, but KC Navarro distracts the referee. Francis sends Matt to the ropes, which allows Williams to hit Matt with the TNA World Title. Francis hits the TFL on Matt for the win!
Winners: First Class and The Nemeths
Trick Williams celebrates with First Class and then joins them in beating on The Hardys until Mike Santana’s music hits. Santana runs through the crowd and lays out KC Navarro on the floor. Santana gets into the ring and takes it to AJ Francis and Williams. Two versus one is too much for Santana until Joe Hendry’s music hits. Hendry runs to the ring and lays out Williams. Williams rolls to the floor. Francis pushes Santana into Hendry’s back. Hendry turns around and punches Santana. Santana goes after Hendry, but they are pulled apart by The Hardys and The Rascalz.
Tom Hannifan and Gia Miller are on commentary for the main event. Mark Madden is a special guest commentator for the match.
Leon Slater vs. Brian Johnson
On his way to the ring, Brian Johnson demands that everyone call him “The Mecca.” Now that he’s in TNA, Johnson wants to make it clear that he’s not trying to make an impact - he’s in TNA to stop the rising star of Leon Slater. It’s time to let The Mecca cook.
They lock up and Brian Johnson grabs an arm. Leon Slater rolls and flips into a reversal and sends Johnson to the mat. Johnson gets up and strikes Slater. Slater returns with a leg lariat. Slater hits a running dropkick in the corner and climbs to the top rope. Johnson rolls out of the way. Slater drops down to the mat. Johnson tries to send Slater into the corner, but Leon blocks it. Johnson tugs Slater down into his knee and then hits a series of clotheslines for a two count.
Johnson elbows Slater and then whips him across the ring hard. Slater tries to fight back, but Johnson cuts him off and snapmares him. Johnson grabs a chinlock, but Slater fights out of it. Johnson shoves Slater and Leon almost runs into the referee. The almost collision allows Johnson to hit a thumb to the eye and a DDT for a two count. Johnson charges at Slater in the corner, but Leon gets a boot up. Slater jumps over Johnson and hits a couple of running clotheslines. Slater hits a handspring back elbow and goes to the apron. Slater hits a springboard Crossover for a two count. Slater hits a Blue Thunder Bomb and climbs to the top rope. Slater hits a Swanton 450 for the win!
Winner: Leon Slater
Leon Slater celebrates his win in the corner. Slater turns around and eats a Spear from Moose. Moose stands over Slater while holding up the TNA X-Division Championship as the show fades to black.
