After a short recap of last week’s episode and a preview of tonight’s episode, Shawn Michaels meets with the new teams for the first time. He is very surprised by the draft results. Michaels notices that Elijah Holyfield is not wearing a shirt. Bubba Ray says that Holyfield will not be wearing a shirt for the rest of the season and makes him show off his physique. Michaels now understands the lack of shirt.
Michaels wants to see new things from the Future Greats and wants them to develop their characters in their matches tonight. The Future Greats meet with their coaches to decide the matches and new elements/attitudes they’ll showcase in the matchups. Booker T suggests that Sirena Linton work as a heel and Bubba Ray wants Zena Sterling to work on a new move. Bubba Ray works with Linton about not doing cool moves to help her heel character. Booker T says that he trusts Bubba Ray with the ideas.
Booker T is shown working with Penina Tuilaepa and Tatyanna Dumas. Dumas is really focusing on being a new person. Booker T wants Dumas to find a balance in being a babyface. Michelle McCool wants Tuilaepa to work on being a more aggressive, nasty heel. Booker T and McCool are then shown working with Anthony Luke and Chris Island. Luke wants to wear gloves now. Island is no longer wearing a vest. Bubba Ray is shown talking to Shiloh Hill and Elijah Holyfield. Holyfield is changing up his attire and will showcase new moves. Hill fixed his teeth.
Sirena Linton (Team Booker T) vs. Zena Sterling (Team Bubba)
Sirena Linton has words for Zena Sterling to start and then pie faces her. They lock up and jockey for position. Linton shoves Sterling off and then grabs an arm. Linton kicks Sterling and then grabs her arm again. Sterling reverses and hits a snapmare. Sterling grabs an arm and then rolls Linton up for a two count. Sterling grabs an arm bar down on the mat, but Linton stands up and grabs Sterling’s hair to grab a side headlock. Sterling rolls Linton up, but Linton kicks out and keeps hold of the side headlock. Linton transitions to an arm bar, but Sterling rolls into a reversal. Sterling grabs Linton’s leg, but is kicked off. Sterling hits a rebound clothesline and then an arm drag. Sterling grabs an arm bar, but Linton works out of it and drives Sterling to the corner by the hair.
Linton kicks at Sterling in the corner and then hits a Bronco Buster. Linton smack talks Sterling and then hits a bulldog. Linton digs into Sterling’s midsection with her foot and then steps over her. Linton springs off of the ropes and hits a split leg drop to the gut for a two count. Linton grabs a chinlock and then a double arm stretch. Sterling counters into a roll up for a two count. They hit a double clothesline. Sterling recovers first and hits two clohteslines and a back elbow. Sterling sends Linton into the corner and hits a running back elbow. Sterling chops Linton and then sends her into the ropes. Sterling hits a modified powerslam for a two count. Sterling slams Linton down and goes for another slam, but Linton wiggles out. Linton rolls Sterling up for the win! Linton used the ropes for leverage, but the referee didn’t see it.
Winner: Sirena Linton
In the back, Sirena Linton says that she’s on Season 2 to win - not make friends.
Tatyanna Dumas (Team Booker) vs. Penina Tuilaepa (Team McCool)
They lock up and Penina Tuilaepa is quick to slam Tatyanna Dumas. They lock up again and Dumas grabs an arm, but Tuilaepa reverses into a side headlock. Tuilaepa is sent to the ropes, but hits a tackle. They lock up again and Tuilaepa hits a knee to the gut. Tuilaepa is sent to the ropes again and hits a tackle again. Dumas drops under a running Tuilaepa and tries a backslide for a two count. Dumas hits an arm drag and then locks on an arm bar. Tuilaepa slams Dumas, but Tatyanna rolls through and keeps hold of the arm bar. Tuilaepa lifts up Dumas and hits a Samoan Drop for a two count.
Tuilaepa sends Dumas into the corner and hits three shoulder attacks. Tuilaepa slams Dumas’ head into the top turnbuckle and then snapmares her. Tuilaepa drives down an elbow and then grabs a chinlock. Dumas fights out of it and leaps over a charging Tuilaepa, but Penina bounces off of the ropes and hits a spear for the win!
Winner: Penina Tuilaepa
In the back, Penina Tuilaepa is happy with her performance and says that Tatyanna Dumas looked good because of her. Dumas liked working with Tuilaepa’s style of wrestling.
Chris Island and Anthony Luke are shown getting ready for their match. Island wants to shut Luke up.
Chris Island (Team Booker) vs. Anthony Luke (Team McCool)
Chris Island goes after a leg, but Anthony Luke fights it off. Luke then gets a shot in on Island, but is sent to the ropes. Luke comes off of them and hits a tackle and dances. Luke grabs a side headlock takeover. Island works out of it and hits a side headlock takeover of his own. Luke hits a belly-to-back suplex to get out of it, but Island counters with a couple of roll up attempts that Luke kicks out of. Island charges at Luke, but Anthony dodges it and Island gets caught up in the ropes. Luke stretches Island’s leg around the middle rope and then drops down on it on the mat for a two count.
Luke grabs a standing leg lock, but Island kicks out of it. Luke kicks at Island’s leg and then lifts Island up. Chris slips out, but Luke grabs him again and slams him for a two count. Luke goes back on the leg attack with a single crab. Island is able to claw his way to the ropes. Island kicks Luke and Anthony falls. Luke tries some punches, but Island blocks them and hits some of his own. Island hits a series of tackles and then hits a monkey flip. Island lifts up Luke, but Luke wiggles out and chop blocks Island. Luke hits a belly-to-back into a uranage variation for the win!
Winner: Anthony Luke
In the back, Chris Island feels great about the match. Anthony Luke says he carries Island to a great match since Island was happy with losing.
Bubba Ray and The Undertaker are introduced to the crowd before the last match.
Shiloh Hill (Team Undertaker) vs. Elijah Holyfield (Team Bubba)
They lock up and Shiloh Hill grabs a side headlock. Elijah Holyfield tries to power out of it, but Hill hangs on. Holyfield sends Hill to the ropes. Hill hits a tackle. Hill hits the ropes again, but eats a hip toss. Holyfield hits a side slam for a two count. Holyfield grabs an arm of Hill and cranks it behind Hill’s back. Hill reverses, but Holyfield hits a standing switch. Hill runs to the corner and ducks, causing Holyfield to hit the turnbuckles. Hill drops Holyfield and then rains down punches. Hill hits a neckbreaker for a two count.
Holyfield rolls Hill up, but Shiloh kicks out and punches Elijah. Hill hits a neckbreaker for a two count. Hill stretches Holyfield’s neck, but Elijah works out of it and hits Hill with a liver shot. Holyfield hits a flying tackle and a slam. Holyfield hits a spinebuster for a two count. Hill hits a back elbow and then a double underhook slam for the win!
Winner: Shiloh Hill
In the back, Shiloh Hill feels good about the match. Elijah Holyfield loved getting his first big pop on the flying tackle he did in the match.
It’s time to award the points!
For the women, Michelle McCool picks Penina Tuilaepa. Booker T picks Sirena Linton. The Undertaker picks Sirena Linton. Bubba Ray picks Sirena Linton, which solidifies Linton getting the point.
For the men, everyone picks Elijah Holyfield.
