7/6 NJPW SOUL RESULTS FROM TOKYO, JAPAN

7/6 NJPW Soul from Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan:

1 - Shota Umino, Yuya Uemura, Boltin Oleg, Tomoaki Honma and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SANADA and EVIL

Narita hits Honma with the push-up bar.   EVIL hits Everything is Evil on Honma and gets the pin.

2 - Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji and Hiromu Takahashi vs. Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson and Zack Sabre Jr.

Tsuji pins Jackson after a Gene Blaster.

Zack Sabre Jr. looks sharp as the new IWGP Heavyweight Champion.   He is doing more heel tactics and even said in an interview he injured Goto because he wanted his Title back.

After the match, Daiki Nagai, one of the young lions, was approached by Takagi, Tsuji and Hiromu who invited them to be a part of their group.   Los Ingobernales de Japon no longer exists but this could the start of a new faction.

3 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tiger Mask

Tanahashi pins Tiger Mask after a High Fly Flow.  

Both men shake hands after the match.

4 - G1 Climax 35 Last Chance Gauntlet Match:   Tomohiro Ishii vs. Taichi vs. Chase Owens vs. Satoshi Kojima

Hirooki Goto broke his arm in his match when he lost the World Title to Zack Sabre Jr.   Goto will be out of the G1 Climax because of this injury.

This match will determine a replacement.   

Owens and Kojima start the match.   Owens hits the Package Piledriver also called the Last Testament.

Owens pins Kojima.   

Taichi comes to the ring but he is attacked by SANADA.  

Tomohiro Ishii comes to the ring to even things up.

Taichi pins Owens with a Jacknife cradle.

Ishii runs off Owens and SANADA.  He allows Taichi to recover.

The tag champions face off against each other.  

Damn good match.  

Taichi hits a Super Kick and a Black Mephisto.

Taichi pins Ishii.

Taichi earns a spot in the G1 Climax 35.  

5 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship:    Master Wato and YOH vs.  SHO and DOUKI

The referee takes a bump.   Kanemaru and Yujiro interfere.  Toru Yano makes a save.   Wato and YOH make a comeback.   SHO hits Wato with a metal plate in the back and in the head.   SHO hits a Cross Arm Piledriver on Wato.   DOUKI hits a Suplex de La Luna on Wato.

DOUKI pins Wato.

SHO and DOUKI retain the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

6 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship:   Kosei Fujita vs.  El Desperado 

Kosei Fujita won the Best of the Super Juniors. This is title match that he earned.

Desperado comes out with a new white and red outfit.     Desperado has the scars from his Death Match with Jun Kusai.   

They exchange chops.   Desperado was bleeding on his chest. 

Good match.    Desperado and Fujita exchanged submissions.  They beat the hell out of each other.

Desperado trapped Fujita in Numero Dos.  A tight Numero Dos which trapped both arms.   Fujita submits.

El Desperado retains the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

Desperado thanks Fujita for waiting till July to get his Title shot, while he fought Jun Kusai.   Desperado invites another challenger to step up.   

G1 Climax 35 begins on July 19 on New Japan World.
