7/2 AEW DYNAMITE 300 REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2025-07-02 22:29:00

It’s Wednesday and AEW Dynamite is live from Ontario, CA, at the Toyota Arena, and it is the 300th episode. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni, and Taz.

Hangman Adam Page is on his way to the ring as we start and is probably still mad about the beatdown at the end of last week’s show. He says he is not going to waste our time because he has said everything he needs to say about how important the match at All In is to him. You have to kill him before he will let his chance at the title pass him by.

He says that he wants Jon Moxley to make this a Texas Death Match.

This starts Mox’s music as he and Marina Shafir come out through the crowd.

Mox gets into the ring and says that Page wants to put all of his chips on the table. Mox then says no. Mox says Page doesn’t want that, and at All In, Page is going to lose. He then says that Page doesn’t want to win and he is happy where he is and doesn’t want everything that comes with winning the title. The Owen Hart Tournament is just high enough, but he’s not ready to be champion. Mox gives his standard “you don’t have what it takes” promo.

Page slaps Mox and Mox takes him down and they go at it. Page pulls out a fork and Wheeler Yuta pulls him off. Page drops Yuta and then Shafir starts slapping Page. Yuta grabs Page’s leg and Claudio Castagnoli attacks from behind. Yuta and Claudio attack as Mox and Shafir leave the arena. Claudio and Yuta leave Page laying. Page gets to his knees and grabs a mic and asks if that is the best Mox has got because he’s still standing.

Claudio storms back to the ringside area where Samoa Joe is waiting. Powerhouse Hobbs and Yatsuyori Shibata show up as well. They back off, and Shafir tries to attack Page from behind with the briefcase. Page grabs it from her and screams at Mox to give him the Texas Death Match. Mox grabs a mic and agrees. Page hands the briefcase back to Shafir. He then says he will prove he will do whatever it takes, and hits Shafir with a Buckshot Lariat.

We then get a nice Superman promo from Rachael Brosnahan and Toni Storm.

Toni Storm comes to the ringside area to eat dinner tonight. She does look worried as Mone comes to the ring.

Mercedes Mone (TBS Champion) vs. Mina Shirakawa

Mina attacks immediately with blows in the corner. Mone bails from the ring and runs away, but when they get into the ring, Mone is first able to stomp on Mina, and Mone has pics of Toni on the soles of her shoes. Mina gets a roll-up and a mule kick. They run the ropes and Mina trips Mone and makes fun of her dance. Mina gets a roll-up for two.

Mina gets a Thesz Press as Luther is “crushing Mone’s head.” Mina gets a snap mare with Mone’s hair. Mone runs Mina into the corner and then hits a Meteora and tosses Mina to the floor. Mone does Toni’s dance on the mat as they go to picture-in-picture.

When they return to full screen, Mina had just gotten a figure four around the ring post and she is going to work on Mone’s knee. Mone gets a Statement Maker and Mina reverses it to a figure four. They trade slaps and Mone is able to roll both of them to the floor. Mina gets a tijeras off the apron and then hits a DDT on the floor. Mone gets a kick from the apron and then hits a Meteora from the apron to the floor.

Both women are on the floor recovering. Mone rolls in first and Mina rolls in behind her and they get to their feet and throw hands. Mina runs into a round kick in the corner and Mone gets a sunset flip followed by a Meteora. Mone gets a sunset bomb on Mina into the corner for two. Mone goes to the top and gets another Meteora, but Mina rolls through and gets a dragon screw on Mone’s knee and grabs another figure four.

Mone gets a finger on the rope for the break. Mina goes to the top and gets a Sling Blade for two. They reverse a series of moves and Mina gets a pair of rolling elbows and a round kick to Mone’s head. Mina gets a spinning backfist and a Glamorous Driver for two. Mone gets a backstabber, but Mina gets a running knee strike for two. Mone gets a lung blower but can’t follow up.

Mone rolls into a cover for two. They trade attempts at finishers and Mone gets a small package for the pin and the win.

Winner and still TBS Champion: Mercedes Mone

Mone goes for an attack, and Storm drives her off. Storm checks on Mina and Mone attacks Storm from behind with the belt. She goes to the floor and tosses the glass of champagne in Luther’s face.

We then get a video of the Young Bucks, who have a stretch limo they will be using to visit their favorite childhood spots. They tour Rancho Cucamonga.

MJF w/ MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin vs. AR Fox vs. Anthony Bowens vs. Brody King – Winner gets the #2 spot in the All In Battle Royal

MJF hands a wad of money to King. King tosses the money on the mat and MJF bails from the ring. King and the others follow him, and MJF hides behind the announcers’ table. King then starts attacking everyone else on the floor. MJF sits down with the announcers and watches as everyone else gets in the ring. Fox attacks King in the corner and then Bowens drops him and gives Brody a Famouser. Fox then stomps on Bowens on the apron and knocks King off the apron and hits a senton on King as well.

Bowens gets a DDT on Fox on the apron and they both go to the floor, where King dives into them. MJF then nails King with a chair and tosses Fox and Bowens into the ring as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, MJF is on the ropes posing for the crowd and backs into King, who drops him. Each person gets taken out by the last person in the ring until King takes out Fox and Bowens with a double clothesline. Bowens runs MJF into King’s grapes and then gets a Sling Blade on King, which gives MJF a DDT. Fox and Bowens fight in the corner. Bowens gets a DDT on Fox for two.

Fox trips MJF into the ropes and then leaps onto MJF to slide into Bowens on the floor. Fox gets a corkscrew brainbuster on MJF for two. King drops Fox and then slams Bowens. King cannonballs Fox and Bowens. He then goes for one on MJF, and MJF gets out of the way and gives running knees to Bowens and then Fox. MJF gets a roll-up on King for two. MJF gets into the ring with a chair and King punches the chair into MJF.

All three opponents are stacked in the corner and Brody cannonballs into them and covers MJF for two. Everyone gives cutters to each other and King gets the last one on Fox for two. Fox and King fight in the ropes and Fox gets a 450 splash on King for two. Bowens runs into an eye poke from MJF, who gets a hammerlock DDT on Bowens. King and MJF fight in the ropes and Bowens kicks King. Then Fox gets a DDT on King in the ropes.

Bowens gets The Arrival on Fox, but King gets a Gonzo Bomb on him for two. Fox breaks it up and MJF grabs Fox with the Salt of the Earth and Fox has to tap out.

Winner and getting the 2nd spot in the gauntlet match at All In: MJF

Mark Briscoe comes out as MJF and the Hurt Syndicate are in the ring. Mark’s shirt reads “MJF Has A Tiny Pickle.” Mark says being number two means he has earned himself an ass beating at All In. He says MJF calling him a blue-collar bitch is what earned MJF an ass beating, and next week, they will have a talk in the ring.

We then get Jet Speed running to the ring and they attack Benjamin and Lashley. It doesn’t take long for the Hurt Syndicate to take over and beat Jet Speed down. As Jet Speed gets to their feet, Lashley and Benjamin beat them down again. They get up again, and the Hurt Syndicate beats them down again. They get up one more time, and Kevin Knight challenges Shelton Benjamin to a match on Collision.

We get the stretch limo showing up at the arena and they are on their way to the ring.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Konosuke Takeshita vs. Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bandido

Bandido and Takeshita lock up and Bandido gets a series of kicks and then an arm drag. Takeshita gets an arm drag of his own and then they have a stand-off. Takeshita grabs Bandido’s fingers and twists. Matt is tagged in, and it’s not long until Matt is also in, double-teaming Bandido. This rings the tag team siren and Kyle gets in to be taken out, and then Strong does the same.

Bandido beats Matt into the corner and again, everyone is fighting around the ring until Bandido dives onto everyone, followed by Takeshita diving on Bandido as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Bandido has been the babyface in peril and he gets the hot tag to Strong, who cleans house. Nick tags in and he runs wild. Matt is able to get the locomotion Northern Lights suplexes on Kyle. Bandido is able to get the one-hand press on Matt. Takeshita gets a big kick and then a Blue Thunder Bomb. Who’s legal? Who knows, and since Rick Knox is the ref, the ref doesn’t care.

We then have Bandido and Takeshita in the ring, and Takeshita gets a huge pop-up powerbomb for two. Takeshita goes to the top and Kyle intervenes. It’s then time for all of Bandido’s team to get superplexes on Takeshita’s team. Bandido covers for two, broken up by Matt. Bandido gets the X-Knee on Nick and then a 21 Plex, but Nick lands on his feet. The Bucks get a double hip toss into Takeshita, who then hits an EVP Driver and German suplex for two, broken up by everyone being pushed into them.

Everyone gets an attack on the last person in the ring. Kyle gets two superkicks from the Bucks and a big blow from Takeshita. They hit Kyle with a three-man EVP Trigger and then Takeshita hits the Raging Fire for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Young Bucks and Takeshita

Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland hit the ring to attack and the Bucks bail. Swerve says the Bucks have not answered the challenge. Swerve says if they win the EVP status, they will give the power to Tony Khan. The Bucks say that Swerve and Ospreay don’t get to make the rules, so they refuse the challenge since they don’t get anything out of it.

Ospreay says he has something they might be interested in—if the Bucks win, then he and Swerve can’t challenge for one year. The Bucks accept as long as Swerve agrees. Swerve and Ospreay have words, and Swerve finally agrees.

Mortos and Dralistico vs. Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland

Everyone starts brawling as the bell rings and when the smoke clears, Swerve and Will dive onto Mortos and Dralistico. This settles down and it’s Will and Dralistico. Dralistico gets a tijeras and tags in Mortos, who attacks Will in the corner. Will gets a hurricanrana and tags in Swerve, who tosses Dralistico and then gets a rolling DDT on Mortos. Dralistico grabs Prince Nana and it allows Mortos to attack Swerve. Mortos hits a tornado dive onto Swerve on the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Swerve has been the babyface in peril through the break. Swerve is able to hit Mortos with a rear kick and Will gets the hot tag to clean house. Will is able to end the sequence with a springboard elbow for two. Mortos gets a headbutt and he then holds Will for a leaping stomp from Dralistico off the top for two, broken up by Swerve. Dralistico gets a spinning DDT and then hits a Destroyer on Will for two, broken up by Swerve again.

Swerve is able to get a crucifix bomb on Mortos and Will hits a Stormbreaker as Swerve gets a Stomp on him. Will gets a Styles Clash and Swerve gets a House Call and Will covers Dralistico for the pin and the win.
