RAW'S LENGTH ON NETFLIX, SMACKDOWN'S LENGTH GOING FORWARD, JOHN GABURICK AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2025-06-25 10:04:00

Does John Gaburick still work for WWE?

Yes, we are told he works on the production end of international events, specifically Saudi Arabia shows.

I've been looking around, why hasn't there been an official cause of death on Sabu released?

Rob Van Dam stated publicly that Sabu's wife, who he was still legally married to at the time of his passing (although they were not together for years by that point) is in Japan and hadn't signed paperwork allowing that information to be publicly revealed.  I do not believe that situation has changed.

I've noticed RAW has been clocking in at under 3 hours quite a bit, as WWE has that option with Netflix.  Now, SD being over on a network is a non-negotiable thing, as they expect 3 hours, so they get it.  Do you guys feel that HHH is possibly doing so on purpose so as to put less strain on the creative flow, maybe taking a little pressure off to help avoid burnout ?   RAW finished about 10:30 last night ( 16 June ) so that left two 15 min. quarters they didn't have to fill.  You can fit quite a few segments into 30 minutes, so that would be less work for everyone, knowing they have to fill every minute on SD.

Raw is still three hours in some markets with the remaining material filled by other WWE content.  HHH obviously wants the shows to run in the 2 hour, 30 minute range.  That's why they've been that way.  It's been that way since the second week of Raw on Netflix, although early on some were in denial when I reported a Penta match ran over time, resulting in other material being cut from the show - because fans assumed they were going three hours when that wasn't the case.  If WWE wants to go longer (or if Netflix wants that), they can always revert to running a longer show.

Is Smackdown 100% back to two hours as of July 4th?

As we broke here on the site, yes.

Can you tour WWE HQ?

No.  It's a working office, not a tourist attraction.
