Author Ian Douglass' latest book A Decided Novelty - The Essential Guide to Black Pro Wrestling History: 1880 to 1950 will be released next month. I've read an advance copy and it is absolutely incredible. I can't wait for people to have this in their hands. It literally reshapes and recontextualizes the entirety of professional wrestling history. We will have more on it shortly.

Danhausen appeared over the weekend on Me-TV's Svengoolie for an interview with the legendary horror host. Jim Cornette, CM Punk and Lisa Marie-Varon, among others, have appeared on the series in the past. If you are looking for the episode, they screened Village of the Damned.
The second episode of The History Channel's new series Hazardous History with Henry Winkler, which explores things that were allowed culturally in the past that aren't anymore, discussed bears being involved in professional wrestling, including a mention of Terrible Ted. The episode garnered 470,000 overnight viewers with a 0.07 in the 18-49 demo. Winkler of course once played a pro wrestler in the 1978 film The One and Only.
