It’s Wednesday and AEW Grand Slam Mexico is live from Mexico City, MX at Arena México.
Our commentary team is Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness, and Tony Schiavone.
We start the show with Adam Page making his way to the ring with something to say. He speaks to the crowd in Spanish and Excalibur translates for us. He talks about people he knew from Mexico when he was young and how his family owned a farm. He thanks the crowd for having AEW in their house tonight. He puts over the people from AEW and CMLL and then turns to Jon Moxley.
He is not allowed to interfere in Mox’s match tonight, but there is no prohibition after the match.
14-Man Tag Team Match: Dax Harwood, Volador Jr., Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, Hechicero, Josh Alexander & Lance Archer vs. Bandido, Atlantis, Atlantis Jr., Templario, Brody King, Daniel Garcia & Adam Cole

Stokely tells us Cash Wheeler is not at the show tonight before the crowd starts coming to the ring.
Takeshita and Bandido start things off, fitting given their long-standing feud. After Takeshita is hurricanrana’ed to the floor, Hechicero takes his place. Garcia tags in and gets a tijeras on Hechicero. Dax tags in and they brawl back and forth. Atlantis Jr. tags in, gets booed, and hits a quick sling blade for two. Templario tags in, they double-team Dax, and Templario gets a two count. We then get Templario and Volador Jr. going back and forth. Templario hits the first dive of the night.
Brody and Dax are next. Lance attacks Brody from behind and Josh helps from the apron. Cole hits a chop block on Archer. Brody lands a Death Valley Driver on Josh on the apron.
Cole and Kyle fight in the ring. Kyle stops Cole with a half-and-half suplex. Atlantis takes down Kyle and they fight in the corner. Everyone lands a superkick on Kyle as we go to picture-in-picture.
Back to full screen, Garcia hits a neckbreaker on Josh. Bandido tags in and trades strikes with Josh. Bandido hits a gorilla press slam and heads up top. Josh meets him and hits a suplex for two. Templario and Josh are in one corner, Bandido and Takeshita in another—babyfaces get stereo suplexes. Kyle tags in and the tag team alarm goes off: everyone's brawling in and around the ring.
Brody and Lance square off. Hechicero dives from the top onto Brody. Brody responds with a hurricanrana and dives onto Hechicero. Atlantis and Dax throw hands. Dax beats him down, but Atlantis grabs a small package for the pin and the win.
Winners: Bandido, Atlantis, Atlantis Jr., Templario, Brody King, Daniel Garcia & Adam Cole
Dax tries to attack Atlantis after the bell, but Atlantis Jr. drives him off.
We get a video package of Kazuchika Okada’s attack on Kenny Omega.
Kazuchika Okada (Continental Champion) vs. Mark Briscoe
Don Callis joins commentary.
Okada bails to stall. They lock up, Okada backs Briscoe into the ropes, and gives the signature chest tap. Briscoe kicks him and sends him to the floor. Briscoe chases Okada, but Okada catches him sliding back in and goes on the attack.
Briscoe lands on his feet from a back body drop and goes into Redneck Kung Fu. He beats Okada down in the corner, pulls him outside, and dives onto him. Back inside, Briscoe continues the offense. Okada dodges an attack, places Briscoe on the top, and dropkicks him to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
Back on full screen, Briscoe fights out of a side headlock and runs the ropes. Okada lands a flapjack. Briscoe counters a tombstone and rolls Okada up for two. He escapes the Rainmaker with an enzuigiri. They trade strikes. Okada gouges the eyes; Briscoe responds with chops and a running elbow. Fisherman’s buster gets two.
Briscoe goes for an exploder, Okada blocks. Okada tries another back body drop, Briscoe lands on his feet. Okada gets a neckbreaker, then hits the top-rope elbow drop and flips off the crowd. Briscoe bites the middle finger, hits an exploder, then Froggie Bow for two.
Briscoe calls for the Jay Driller—Okada escapes and hits a dropkick. After both dodge finishers, Okada hits the tombstone and then the Rainmaker for the win.

Okada and Callis attack Briscoe after the bell and leave him laying.
MJF (w/ The Hurt Syndicate) vs. Mistico
Mistico gets a massive National Hero entrance. MJF wears exaggerated red, white, and blue gear. Mistico dons Mexican flag colors.
MJF knocks Mistico down off the lock-up and celebrates like he won the title. Mistico responds with chops, a rope-walk arm drag, and a Canadian Destroyer for two. MJF rolls out to avoid a dive and uses the Hurt Syndicate as a shield. MJF catches Mistico with a running clothesline.
Back in, Mistico gets a tijeras and MJF begs off. MJF pulls him into the middle buckle and poses. Mistico answers with a jawbreaker, but MJF hits a powerbomb onto his knee for two as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return, the Hurt Syndicate had been interfering. MVP is clearly frustrated with MJF’s lack of seriousness.
Mistico mounts a comeback: series of kicks, backflip elbow, springboard crossbody, spinning DDT, then a top rope springboard dive to the floor.
Back in, Mistico hits a springboard senton and a powerslam for two. They trade strikes. MJF hits a Destroyer for two.
MJF tries walking out. Mistico follows, tries a tijeras, but MJF turns it into a piledriver on the floor. Mistico barely beats the 10 count.
Back inside, Mistico hits an avalanche Spanish Fly for two. He locks in La Mistica, but MVP distracts the ref. MJF hits a low blow and rolls him up for two, then hits another low blow in front of the ref.
Winner by DQ: Mistico
The Hurt Syndicate attacks. MJF unmasks Mistico and puts it on. Bandido, Titan, and Templario make the save, joined by Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey attacking Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
Everyone stands their ground as we go to commercial.
Ricochet vs. Hologram vs. Lio Rush (w/ Action Andretti) vs. Máscara Dorada - Winner receives Four Million Pesos
Ricochet argues with the ref. Rush taunts the fans. Ricochet and Rush work together early, then get superkicked when they go for dives.
Dorada hits an arm drag on Rush, Hologram on Ricochet. They double-team the others but get tossed outside. Ricochet and Rush dominate as we go to picture-in-picture.
Back on full screen, Ricochet and Rush isolate Hologram. After some tension, they argue and Dorada hits a dropkick and tijeras. Hologram joins in, and they dive onto the others.
Back inside, Hologram lands a spinning DDT, then a Spanish Fly. Dorada hits a Crucifix Bomb. Rush and Dorada go at it. Ricochet returns with a leaping stomp. Rush hits a poisonrana on Ricochet, then one on Hologram. He tries one on Dorada, but Dorada blocks, though Rush hits it eventually for two.
We get a series of near falls. Ricochet and Rush fight on top. Hologram grabs Rush, who escapes. Rush tries a roll-up with feet on the ropes for two. Hologram hits the Portal Bomb on Rush for the win.
Winner: Hologram
Zeuxis (CMLL Women’s Champion) vs. Mercedes Moné
Zeuxis tosses Moné around and stomps her in the corner. She sits down on a sunset flip for two. Butterfly lift into a lung blower for two. Moné goes for the Statement Maker, but Zeuxis reaches the ropes.
Moné hits a baseball slide and apron kick, then a Meteora for two. Zeuxis counters with a tijeras and dives onto Moné as we go to picture-in-picture.
Back on full screen, Zeuxis hits an avalanche Spanish Fly for two. Moné counters with a hurricanrana, backstabber, and locks in the Statement Maker. Zeuxis breaks the grip and hits a pumphandle slam for two.
Zeuxis pulls her up top, but Moné gets a headbutt and reverses the slam into a pin.
Winner and NEW CMLL Women’s Champion: Mercedes Moné
We get a black-and-white noir video from Toni Storm. Mina Shirakawa appears at the ramp. Storm shows up behind Moné and suplexes her. She tries for Storm Zero on the ramp, but officials separate them.
Storm grabs a mic and shouts: “Let the games begin!”
Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. AEW Champion Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson & Beast Mortos (w/ Marina Shafir)
Matt and Ospreay start, but Matt immediately tags in Mortos.
Mortos beats Ospreay down in the corner and hits a Samoan Drop. Ospreay responds with a pop-up hurricanrana. Nick superkicks him mid-air and the Bucks double-team. Ospreay lands a double arm drag and lays in chops.
Yuta and Swerve tag in. Ospreay and Swerve double-team Yuta. Swerve hits a backbreaker and tags in Joe. Joe jabs Yuta in the corner. Shibata tags in next, continuing the beatdown. Hobbs follows and hits forever splashes.
Moxley tags in and throws hands with Joe, triggering the tag team siren—everyone brawls in and out of the ring.
Ospreay hits a Sky Twister Press from the top rope onto everyone as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Ospreay has been the babyface in peril through the break. Mox is working over Ospreay, who misses an Oscutter.
Ospreay gets the hot tag to Hobbs, who charges in and beats down the freshly tagged-in Yuta. The Bucks enter the ring to attack Hobbs, but it doesn’t work. He goozles both of them while Yuta grabs his back. Hobbs doesn’t go down until Mox hits a kick to assist.
Ospreay and Swerve dive onto the Bucks on the floor. Back in the ring, Hobbs and Shibata beat down Yuta in the corner. Hobbs hits a powerslam on Yuta, but Mortos breaks up the pin. Mortos levels Shibata with a lariat.
Mortos and Joe trade shots in the center of the ring. Joe plants Mortos with a sidewalk slam, but the Bucks recover and start double-teaming Joe.
The Bucks set up for the EVP Trigger on Ospreay. He escapes and nails both with a double Oscutter. Swerve follows with a dive onto them on the floor.
Yuta comes flying in with a Psycho Knee on Ospreay, and then another to Shibata—who fires back with a brutal PK. Swerve and Moxley square off and throw hands in the middle of the ring.
Ospreay and Swerve double-team Moxley. Matt Jackson stops a Swerve Stomp, but Ospreay knocks both Bucks off the apron.
Marina Shafir distracts the referee, allowing Nick to shove Swerve off the top rope into Moxley’s grip.
Mox rolls up Swerve with a handful of tights for the pin and the win.

After the bell, Mox and the Bucks attack Swerve—but here comes Adam Page!
Page charges down as chaos breaks loose. He hits the ring and brawls with Moxley. Page lines up for a Buckshot Lariat on Mox—but Nick Jackson eats it instead!
Mox tries to re-enter with the briefcase, but Samoa Joe and his crew stand tall in the ring. Moxley retreats with his team.
