Former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Hikuleo made his official WWE debut tonight, working the WWE Main Event taping prior to Friday Night Smackdown taping in Lexington, Kentucky. PWInsiderElite.com broke yesterday that he was slated to be at the taping.
Hikuleo was signed to WWE a year ago and assigned to the NXT roster, but never officially made his debut for the brand.
Hikuleo, 34, is the son of Haku and debuted back in 2016 after being trained by The Dudley Boyz. He was with New Japan from 2016 through 2024 and also made appearances in AEW and TNA in the past. During his time with NJPW, he was IWGP Tag Team Champion with El Phantasmo and had a run with the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship as well.
