It’s Wednesday and AEW Collision Summer Blockbuster is live from Portland, OR at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center and it picks up right after Collision. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
As Kenny Omega is set to be stretchered out of the ring, Okada goes to the top and drops a flying elbow on Omega’s midsection. Omega is loaded onto the stretcher and Christopher Daniels in the ring reading the riot act to Callis and Okada. Okada drops another elbow onto Omega from the ring and Omega is spitting up blood. Alex Marvez tries to get an interview as Callis and Okada run to a waiting truck to make their getaway.
But, we have to move on, as Tony says, Adam Cole comes to join commentary.
Kyle Fletcher w/Lance Archer vs Anthony Bowens w/Billy Gunn
They take their time to lock up and when they do, they force themselves into the corner. They break clean and Kyle mocks Bowens and Gunn. They lock up again and go to the corner and when they break, Bowens grabs a side headlock and they run the ropes. Kyle gets a shoulder tackle and when they run the ropes again, Bowens gets a sling blade for two.
Bowens lays in a big chop in the corner, then charges into Kyle and hits a fallaway slam for two. Kyle is able to get a back body drop and then is able to drop-kick Bowens off the apron to the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Kyle has been working over Bowens through the break. Bowens is able to get a series of kicks and then a front flap jack followed by a famouser for two. Kyle holds onto the ropes to block being whipped across the ring, Kyle is able to hit a snap dragon suplex, and Bowens is tossed to the floor by it. Kyle hits the floor and tries for a power slam, but Bowens escapes and slams Kyle face first onto the apron. He rolls Kyle into the ring for a clothesline for two.
Bowens goes to the top and Kyle joins him there. Bowens escapes out the bottom and kicks Kyle, following with a twisting DDT off the corner for two. Bowens misses the Mollywog and Kyle lays in blows. Bowens gets a quick series of chops and calls for the Mollwog again and runs into a thrust kick. Kyle gets a big slam for two.
Kyle gets a running boot and Bowens blocks a brainbuster and turns it into a slam for two. Kyle then bails as Bowens goes for a Mollywog again. Bowens goes to the top and leaps onto Kyle on the floor. They crawl to get into the ring and Archer attacks Gunn. Kyle gets a big running boot as Bowens is looking at that attack. Kyle follows up with a brain buster for the pin and the win.

We then get a video about how MJF is a super patriot.
We then have Carlos Cabrera in the ring to hype Grand Slam next week. He introduces Atlantis who comes to the ring with Atlantis Jr. Before they can speak, they are interrupted by Stokley and FTR. Stokely says there are only two living legends and they are Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. He tells Carlos to leave and then lectures Atlantis and Atlantis Jr. about FTR.
Stokely runs down the people that FTR have beat up the last few weeks. Dax then grabs the mic and he says he is excited about working with CMLL. As he mocks Atlantis’s age, Atlantis finally poops him one. As the fight begins, Adam Cole hits the ring. This brings out the Don Callis Family, and then we get Bandido and Mistico and everyone is brawling in the ring. Brody King then kits the ring and the heels are finally tossed to the floor.
Dax is left in the ring and Atlantis is able to hit Dax with a spinebuster and then chases him into the crowd.
In the back, Lexi Nair is with Bryan Keith and Big Bill. They say they are looking for another tag team that wants to find them. The Workhorsemen, Anthony Henry and JD Drake show up and challenge them.
Mercedes Mone comes down to join commentary now that Adam Cole has left. However, she is going to be eating dinner instead.
Toni Storm (AEW World Champion) vs Julia Hart w/Skye Blue
When Toni takes a taste of Mone’s meal, she is attacked by Hart and Blue. And the ref tells Blue She! Is! Outta here!!
Storm is checked on by the doc and referees. As Storm slowly gets to her feet we see that Hart is wearing an old pair of Jeff Hardy’s pants as her ring gear.
Storm struggles to her feet in the ring and the bell rings. Hart immediately lays in blows and takes down Storm, stomping a mudhole in her. Hart gets a moonsault but doesn’t quite get all of it. They run the ropes and Storm gets a drop-kick, followed by a hip attack in the ropes. Storm then tells us we’ll be right back as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Hart is working over Storm’s arm. Hart goes to the top for Old School, but Storm pulls her down and hits a German suplex. Storm hits two more and then a fisherman’s suplex with a bridge for two. Hart goes to the corner and then grabs a tarantula. When she breaks, she grabs an octopus hold in the ring, and Storm is able to get to the ropes.
Storm is able to get a pop-up power bomb for two. Hart trips Storm and drags her to the corner. Hart misses a moonsault, and Storm grabs a small package for the pin and the win.

Mone leaves her meal and goes to the ring. Mone nuzzles Storm and then pulse her down by her hair. Mone starts raining down blows and Mina Shirakawa hits the ring for the save. Mone then attacks Mina and tosses her from the ring. Mone picks up Storm’s belt and holds it up over her. She tells Storm to kiss the title goodbye and rubs it in her face.
In the back, Lexi is with Ricochet and he is searching for the perfect group of people. Blake Christian and Lee Johnson show and say they are looking for someone. Ricochet says they are impressing the right people. He then says it’s embarrassing to see them play at being Ricochet before dismissing them and leaving.
Mark Briscoe, Tomohiro Ishii, and Willow Nightingale vs MxM Collection (Mansoor and Mason Madden) and Taya Valkyrie w/Johnny TV
Ishii and Mansoor start off and they charge at each other repeatedly, not to Mansoor’s advantage. Taya tags in and gets in Ishii’s face. Willow tags in and lays in chops. Willow hits a scoop slam and covers for one only as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, it’s Madden and Briscoe. Briscoe gets a big elbow shot and then follows Madden into the corner. He whips Madden across the ring and Madden reverses. Briscoe tries to go up and over, but gets caught. Madden gets a big leg drop on Briscoe and follows with an uppercut. Briscoe is kept in their corner as Taya and TV make out and MxM poses.
Briscoe is able to get away and tag Willow, who gets a series of clotheslines on Taya. Willow gets a drop-kick from the top and Taya rolls to the floor where Willow dives onto them. MxM hit the ring and they are met by Briscoe and Ishii, who toss Mansoor and work over Madden, knocking him to the floor. Mansoor gets back in the ring. He tosses Briscoe through the ropes where Madden holds him on the second rope for Mansoor to get a senton from the top.
MxM sets for a Doomsday Device, but Briscoe fights out of it. Ishii and Briscoe meet with Madden on the top. Mansoor is able to get a sunset bomb on Briscoe, but Willow hits a pounce on Mansoor. She then joins Ishii on the top and they get a superplex on Madded. Briscoe hits Froggie Bo on Madden.
As the men brawl on the floor, Taya goes for a rollup for two. Willow gets a get wrench power bomb for the pin and the win.

We then get a comment from Kris Statlander from last week where she says since Willow is done with her, she's done with that, and there is no one on the roster like her. Wheeler Yuta then shows and says if she ever needs any advice, she can turn to him. She then sees Shafir and they glare at each other.
Bandido (Ring of Honor World Champion) w/The Outrunners vs Mortos
Mortos runs through Bandido and knocks him around the ring. Bandido tries for a tejaris and Mortos stops it. Mortos charges at Bandido who is able to flip him over the top to the floor. Bandido then dives into Mortos. He rolls Mortos into the ring and goes to the top.; He misses a dive and Mortos hits a spear.
Mortos goes for the eyes and tries to tear the mask. Mortos uses his feet to twist Bandido’s neck and covers for two. Bandido is tossed to the floor and Bandido hits a tornado dive as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Mortos hits a splash in the corner and then a shot gun drop-kick onto Bandido. Mortos charges into the corner and Bandido dodges. Bandido gets a three times around tejaris. He then picks up Mortos for a gorilla slam. Bandido goes to the top for a frog splash for two. Bandido tries for a 21 plex, but Mortos blocks it and lays in slaps and a twisting tornado bomb into a crucifix slam for two.
Mortos gets a lung blower for two. Bandido comes off the ropes with a small package for two. He grabs a second for two. He then hits a GTS and goes to the top. Mortos knocks his legs out from under him and joins him on the top. They go back and forth on top and Bandido gets an avalanche reverse Crucifix bomb and covers for the pin and the win.

Renee is in the back with Mercedes Mone and Mone says Toni got everything she deserved and she will get what she deserves, the AEW Women’s championship. Renee asks about her challenging for the CMLL Women's title and that champion, Zeuxis shows up and nails Mone.
In the back, Renee is looking to get a report on Ospreay and Adam Page shows up to ask about him. The Bucks show up and he asks why he shouldn't take their heads off. They say they kept Ospreay busy so Page would have a clear path to win the Owen. Now Page needs to win the title and bring it to the Elite which was the real plan. Page says there was no plan and he didn’t ask them for their help He tells them to stay out of his business.
Page says if he ever burns down a home again, he'll make sure the Bucks are in it. We then see that Swerve and Prince Nana were able to hear the whole thing.
Thekla vs Queen Aminata
Thekla goes for a kick to start, and Aminata dodges it. Aminana gets a slam and Thekla is able to get a snap mare. Thekla keeps retreating to the corner after a move. Aminata calls for a Greco Roman knuckle lock and instead she slaps Aminata. Aminata returns the slam and hits three snap mares. Aminata gets a running knee and Thekla goes to the floor to regroup.
Thekla slowly goes to her corner and then goes back to the floor. When she does go to get in the ring, Aminata nails her with a boot. They run the ropes and Thekla is able to get a drop-kick and follows with a big strike as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Thekla gets a head scissors in the ropes and releases it at four. Aminata is able to pick the legs for a jack knife pin for two. Amanita gets a snap suplex after a few kicks and then gets a version of crossroads. Aminata then hits a running kick in the corner. She drags Thekla to the middle of the ring to cover for two.
Thekla gets a kick from the ropes and then takes a headbutt from Amanita. Aminata then slams Thekla’s head into her behind with her legs. Aminata goes to the top for a double stomp for two. Aminata lays in blows. Thekla fights out of Aminata's grip and gets a rollup for two. Thekla then gets a spear and then rolls Aminata into the Death Trap and Aminata has to tap out.
Winner: Thekla
In the back, Lexi is with Kip Sabain and Nick Wayne, Nick asks where Christian is, and Kip says after the last few months, he has a big surprise and it is a recap of his time in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Kip then says Christian is proud of him.
We then get a recap of Omega being attacked by Okada who has joined the Don Callis Family.
Hechicero, Lance Archer, Josh Alexander, and Konosuke Takeshita w/Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta vs Daniel Garcia, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly
I have to say, it is nearly midnight on the East Coast and this is the main event? If I wasn’t covering this, I’d be in bed to watch the last match tomorrow morning.
Matt Menard joins commentary.
Garcia and Hechicero start the match and they quickly go to arm bars and mat wrestling. They sweep each other’s legs for one counts back and forth before fighting in the corner. Takeshita tags in and Garcia tags in Cole and they trade blows. Takeshita gets a pump kick. Kyle gets a tag and gets a knee drop from the top. Strong then tags in charges at Takeshita in the corner and Takeshita is able to lift him up and over for snake eyes on the top turnbuckle.
Archer is tagged in and Strong dodges his charge and tags in Kyle and they double-team Archer. Kyle keeps up the kicks until Archer gets a sidewalk slam as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Josh is in with Kyle and they are throwing hands until they both drop. Garcia and Takeshita tag in and Garcia keeps running into Takeshita to try to drop him until Takeshita gets a boot up. Garcia takes it and charges into Takeshita, which knocks them both down, but Garcia pops back up. He charges into Takeshita in the corner and then gives Takeshita ten.
Garcia is whipped to the corner, but gets a boot up, and then hits Takeshita with a suplex followed by a twist and shout for two. Garcia gets a small package for two. Takeshita tries for a blue thunder bomb, but Garcia holds on for a two count. Garcia then gets a dragon tamer and Josh breaks it up. Josh then takes a back body drop from Garcia.
Strong is tagged in and he takes out each member of the other team as then try to charge into him. Strong hits a gut buster followed by a sick kick on Josh for two. Strong puts on a sharpshooter as each member of the other team gets into the ring, a member of Strong’s team intercepts and puts on a submission hold. Lance Archer is able to run into Strong to break it up.
RPG Vice gets on the apron, but Kyle and Strong take them out. As the ref is telling Kyle to get out of the ring, Archer grabs Kyle. This allows Takeshita to nail Strong, and Josh gets a suplex with a bridge and holds on for the pin and the win.
