Artist Rob Schamberger's latest subject is AEW's Willow Nightingale:
Schamberger noted, "This new Willow Nightingale painting for me was a fun look at having an intention for a piece and then getting out of the way to let it be what it wants to be. See, I’d originally intended for the pink areas to be solid throughout, giving it a more illustrative feel. But as I was working I saw that wasn’t best for this and that I should instead lean into letting it be the watercolor painting it should be. I think those gradations and brushstrokes give it more life and energy and speak more to Willow’s overall vibe. It’s something I try to be mindful of with my art, that what I originally have in mind isn’t always the best path, and to allow myself to spot said better path."
