6/4 AEW COLLISION FYTERFEST REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2025-06-05 08:05:00

It’s Wednesday and AEW Collision Fyter Fest is live from Denver, CO at the Mission Ballroom right after Dynamite. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We start right where Dynamite left off and Kazuchika Okada comes to the ring to attack Omega. They fight back and forth with Okada trying to get a Rainmaker and Omega trying to get a One Winged Angel, but both evade the other’s finishing move.

We then get a recap of why we are getting FTR vs. Atlantis Jr. and Templario. This moves to Ricochet backstage and he has his eye on a lot of talent tonight, but he will not compete in this crappy town as he looks for people to partner with him.

Will Ospreay vs. Lio Rush w/ Action Andretti

Rush stalls and antagonizes the crowd before they finally lock up. They dodge each other’s grabs and Rush goes to the ropes to avoid the lock-up. Rush tries for a tijeras and Ospreay stops him and tries for a Styles Clash. Rush escapes and goes to the floor. Ospreay chases him and Andretti grabs at him, allowing Rush to dive into Ospreay as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Rush tries for a sleeper while on Ospreay’s back, but Ospreay is able to shrug him off and hit a pump kick. Ospreay comes off the ropes with a high twister kick and puts Rush in the torture rack followed with a driver for two. Rush gets a flurry of strikes and then hits a poisonrana into a cutter for two.

Rush slows the match down and lays in blows before going to the top. Ospreay joins him on top and hits a cutter as Rush comes off the top. He follows with an Oz Cutter for two. Ospreay calls for the Hidden Blade and Andretti grabs his foot. Rush charges at Ospreay and Ospreay hits a back body drop, and Rush rolls over the top onto Andretti. Ospreay dives onto both of them.

They return to the ring and Rush is able to get a DDT and a frog splash from the top for two. Rush grabs a chain and the ref sees it and takes it away. As Rush complains, Ospreay is able to grab the Styles Clash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

After the match, Andretti attacks Ospreay and he and Rush are able to get a double team neckbreaker. As they play to the crowd, Adam Page comes to the ring and drives them off.

Page has a mic and after Ospreay goes to the back, he says if Ospreay will have his back, he will have Ospreay’s. He then says he is his own man. He doesn’t need help to win the World Championship, especially not the worst man to walk the planet, Swerve Strickland. He promises he will never need or accept help from Swerve. He will win the World Championship at All In in Texas.

He turns to see Jon Moxley in the ring behind him. The rest of the Death Riders surround the ring. Ospreay comes back to the ring with a pair of chairs and hands one to Page. Mox and the Death Riders retreat and head back through the crowd.

Lexi is with the Don Callis Family and they accept the challenge from Paragon. He then says Bandido has cost him a lot of money and he challenges him to bring The Outrunners and he will have Hechicero, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita beat them tonight.

Templario and Atlantis Jr. vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) w/ Stokely

Jr. asks for a handshake and gets ignored by Cash before they lock up. Cash gets a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Cash asks if he wants to shake hands now and Jr. ignores him. They lock up again and move from armbars to headlocks to running the ropes and Jr. gets a roll-up for two. Cash goes back to his corner to slow things down.

Cash grabs Jr.'s arm and tags in Dax and Jr. gets to his corner for a tag to Templario as well. They lock up and Dax starts working the arm. He gets a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Dax slams Templario and Templario drops him and covers for two. Dax tries to beg off and calls for a handshake. They shake hands and when Dax tries to pull him in, Templario is able to resist. They trade chops and then run the ropes and Templario gets a knee lift on Dax and then Cash.

This sets off the tag team siren and all four men are fighting in the ring and then moving to the floor. They return to the ring and Cash gets a blind tag. FTR double-team him but Templario is able to fight them off until Dax gets a spinebuster and Cash covers for two as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Templario has been the babyface in peril. Tony Schiavone tells us that right before the main event, Tony Khan has a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Templario is able to dump FTR to the floor and he and Jr. dive onto them. Dax is rolled into the ring and Jr. is tagged in. Jr. gets an assisted back suplex for two. Jr. gets a cutter and then Jr. slams Templario onto Dax for two. Cash pulls Jr. to the floor and Dax rolls up Templario for two. They trade two counts back and forth. Cash gets a blind tag and Templario doesn’t realize it and dives onto Dax.

Cash charges at Templario who runs him into the top turnbuckle pad for two. Templario fights off both members of FTR and they go for the Shatter Machine, but Jr. hits a kick on Dax and Templario covers Cash for two. Dax knocks Jr. off the top. Cash and Templario fight in the corner and Cash reverses a brainbuster and rolls up Templario for the pin and the clean win.

Winners: FTR

Stokely grabs a mic and tells the crowd that FTR is the winningest tag team of all time. Cash and Dax antagonize the crowd and then say the crowd lost the privilege to listen to them talk and they leave.

We get a hype video for Thekla.

Hechicero, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kyle Fletcher vs. Los Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd in masks) and Bandido

Don Callis joins commentary.

Hechicero and Bandido start the match with Hechicero picking the leg and working it over. Bandido works to his feet and grabs an armbar. They show some mat work and Bandido gets an armdrag to get free. They lock up again and Bandido gets a spinning armdrag. He follows with a springboard tijeras on Hechicero. Hechicero is able to get a roll-through into a rear chinlock. This sets off the tag team alarm and everyone is in the ring. Bandido and the Outrunners get a triple dropkick.

Bandido dives into the Callis Family arms and they slam him on the floor. The Outrunners join them on the floor and Hechicero dives onto everyone. Everyone is brawling on the floor as Hechicero gets a cross arm breaker in the ring on Truth as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Truth finally gets the tag to Turbo, who cleans house. Turbo gets body slams on everyone and the ring is cleared. Hechicero is first back up and Turbo is able to walk the ropes into an armdrag. Bandido is tagged in and he and Hechicero run the ropes with Hechicero picking the ankle and they trade two counts back and forth.

Both men are down and struggle to get up. Takeshita is able to tag in. Bandido gets a fireman’s carry and tries for a FTSR, but Takeshita turns it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. All three men are fighting in the ring again. Bandido gets a frog splash on Fletcher for two after Hechicero and Takeshita are tossed to the floor. Bandido tries for a 21 Plex on Fletcher, who blocks it and Fletcher then blocks a swinging DDT. Bandido tries for a springboard backflip, but Fletcher kicks him in the head.

Takeshita and Fletcher double-team Bandido and he turns an assisted powerbomb from Takeshita into a hurricanrana on Takeshita. He then gets a quick roll-up on Fletcher for two. The Outrunners tag in and shoot Bandido into Takeshita and Hechicero on the floor. Takeshita and Fletcher get stereo exploders on the Outrunners and then hit stereo brainbusters for the pin and the win.

Winners: Hechicero, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kyle Fletcher

Next is a video recap of the women’s street fight between Harley Cameron and Anna Jay vs. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

When we get back to the arena, Bayne and Ford have Jay and drag her out to the stage where they are going to beat her down, but she is saved by the returning Tay Melo.

In the back, Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn are with Lexi and he challenges Kyle Fletcher for a match next week.

Ricochet comes to commentary.

Nick Wayne (Ring of Honor TV Champion) w/ Christian Cage and Mother Wayne vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Lee Johnson w/ Blake Christian vs. AR Fox

Nick and Lee are tossed to the floor. Fox and Sammy go back and forth until Nick hits a leaping knee on Sammy. Fox dives onto Lee and we get Sammy and Nick in the ring trading chops and running the ropes. Nick is tossed to the floor and Sammy dives on Fox and then onto Nick on the other side of the ring. Nick is rolled into the ring after Sammy is distracted, Lee knocks him to the floor and dives onto him. Fox hits a ringpost-assisted moonsault onto Lee. Winner and still Ring of Honor TV Champion: Nick Wayne

Thekla vs. The Already In The Ring Lady Frost

Looks like Lady Frost has been moved to the “already in the ring” crew.

Thekla shows her basic moves and how she uses the ropes to get her nickname “The Toxic Spider.” Thekla wins with her submission move The Death Trap.

Winner: Thekla

Thekla puts the Death Trap on Frost again, and Queen Aminata comes to the ring to drive her off.

Then, we get Queen Aminata in the back. She says she is the one and only African Queen and she steps on spiders. She challenges Thekla for a match next week. This was followed by a recap of the confrontation between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.

Tony Khan’s big announcement is that it will be Omega and Okada, winner take all at All In.

Cole gets a pump kick and a takedown for two on Trent.

Kyle and Josh tag in and Josh goes immediately for a takedown and a two count.

Josh gets a big shoulder tackle and Kyle follows with a kitchen sink.

Garcia tags in and gives everyone clotheslines.

Garcia is able to stack up everyone on the other team in the corner except Lance and gives a beatdown until Lance breaks it up and we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Garcia has been the babyface in peril and he tags in Kyle, who then tags in Cole, who tags in Strong and they all run wild.
