Spotlight Match: JGeorge vs TJ Crawford
TJ looks confident that he’s going to make short work of Open’s most experienced (and hateable) punching bag. Jgeorge is giving Crawford way more than he expected tonight. TJ working from underneath for a lot of this…but a head kick finds it home. A silver bullet and shining wizard later, JGeorge is down for the three!
TJ gets right in the camera and screams “Bryce Donovan! June 12th! I’m coming for you!”
Match 1: Moist Boys (DJ Powers & Georgio Lawrence) vs Brick City (Victor Chase & Julio Cruz) (No DQ)
Brick City taking this one seriously, they are wearing the Dudleyz inspired gear tonight. This goes right into a brawl. It spills outside the ring and into the back. We have a long battle up in the balcony! Brick City finally drags DJ & Lawrence back to the ring to bounce them off the apron repeatedly. And then they fight backstage again…and battle back in through the other door! They’re up on the production stage! This is ALLLLLLL over the venue. And then Georgio posts Victor…leaving Julio to take a two on one beatdown. Julio survives the finish! Georgio grabs a chair…Victor steal it and BLASTS DJ with the chair! Georgio eats a crack of the steel and Brick City hits Business is Booming on the chair to get the three! What an opener!
Match 2: Dustin Waller (w/ Kylon King) vs Handyman Jake Gray
The crowd is BIG MAD at Miracle generation for their betrayal of Ichiban. We might get answers soon…but first…Dustin puts a hurt on the Handyman. He should have this won but he pulls the pin and makes Jake get back to his feet. A Michanoku driver…and Waller pulls the pin again. Dustin mocking Ichiban as he lands the Ichi Bankai and gets the three. Boooooo!
As for why they betrayed Ichiban? Of course, it was MONEY. Max Caster was so impressed with their emotional damage to Number One…he gave them 50k EACH. Anthony Greene is here and scolds them for betraying their friend and brother like that. Dustin plays a flashback from when AG attacked Ichiban with a title belt during a championship match. AG acknowledges his mistake two years ago and challenges Dustin 1 on 1 next week.
Match 3: Jariel Rivera vs Brando Lee
Competitive match between these two. Rivera definitely playing the power game here, with Lee trying to fight back with his tenacity that finally pays off with a rolling DVD and top rope double stomp for the win! Rivera continues to prove that if he is “God’s greatest creation”, God might have been hammered that day.
Match 4: Ricky Smokes vs Love Doug
We love Doug. Ricky hates Love. We hate Ricky. Doug loves us. Ricky hates us. The story tells itself. Ricky’s such an aggressive slime bro but Cupid Douglas won’t give up. Ricky eats a faceful of petals! Smokes trying to choke the love out of him! Slice of love connects! Smokes kicks out! He counters the BullDoug with a snake’s and lariat before hitting the fireman’s carry neck breaker for the win. Very solid match here that the crowd was hot for!
Match 5: Brad Baylor vs Aaron Rourke (WWEID Title Tournament Match)
Both competitors are 1-1 in the title tournament so SOMEONE IS OUT OF THE RUNNING TONIGHT! Baylor tries to get under Rourke’s skin by calling him an easy win. Oh no you didn’t. The Dimepiece unloads on Open’s tag champ but the pure swagger of Baylor carries a lot of weight in this contest. The crowd is FIRE for this one. Rourke off the top with a knee for a close two! Ricky Smokes out here and is trying his damndest to be a factor in this win. He gets his wish when Rourke boots him off the apron, letting Brad hit his butterfly neckbreaker for the win. Boooooooo! This was a CHOICE…but certainly not one made by Open officials. Great match right up until the end.
Brad grabs the mic and says that of COURSE, he won. Rourke was even close to being competition for him. He puts over his tag partner, Ricky Smokes, who is still in the tournament. Hmmmm…Will THEY have to fight each other at some point?
Main Event: MINT (Gal & Nick Batee) vs Bobby Orlando & Jermaine Marbury (w/ Benny the Basketball)
Apparently someone didn’t like the unofficial moniker of “Gym Rats”. MINT. Ugh. Gal and Batee work Marbury over hard. Benny calling for that D Fence. Marbury with the juke and dives into the tag! Mint has no issue double teaming our mom instead…and it’s Marbury who ends up getting the hot tag! Kobe/Ddt combo to the rats! Again, the double teaming keeps the ball in Gal & Batee’s corner. Bobby finally takes a page out of the old Shook Crew days to get Marbury going again! Gal manages to snatch Marbury out of the air into a German but Batee gets knocked off the apron on the follow up and Marbury rolls up Gal for the three! MINT IS FURIOUS! Gal says this wasn’t a win! It was a fluke!
