5/29/25 Results from New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors 32, B Block Winner determined and Finals are set from Aichi, Japan:
1 - KUSHIDA, Ninja Mack and Dragon Dia vs. Shoma Kato, Daiki Nagai and Masatora Yasuda
KUSHIDA forces Yasuda to tap out to the Hoverboard Lock.
2 - Master Wato, Toru Yano and Katsuya Murashima vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Ren Narita and Yujiro Takahashi
House of Torture attacks and they focus on Wato's injured leg.
Narita forces Murashima to submit to an an ankle submission.
After the match, Kanemaru stomped on the weak leg of Master Wato. Kanemaru eliminated Wato from the BOSJ and damaged his leg in the process. Kanemaru and SHO may be taking aim at the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles held by Wato and YOH.
3 - Hiromu Takahashi and Yota Tsuji vs. Francesco Akira and Jakob Austin Young
Tsuji pins Young after a Gene Blaster.
4 - Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa and Hartley Jackson vs. Clark Conners, Robbie X and Gedo
Fujita forces Gedo to tap out to the Kami Special (surfboard into a camel clutch).
Best of the Super Juniors Matches (B Block):
5 - Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Kevin Knight
Knight pins Taguchi after a UFO Splash.
Kevin Knight finishes with 8 points.
Ryusuke Taguchi finishes with 6 points.
6 - Titan vs. Nick Wayne
Good match. Titan traps Wayne in Llave Inmortal. Wayne taps out.
Titan finishes with 8 points.
Nick Wayne finishes with 8 points.
Nick Wayne stepped up to a global level in this tournament after facing wrestlers from all over the world in New Japan. Hopefully, he will be willing to enter the BOSJ 33 next year.
7 - MAO vs. SHO
SHO comes to the ring. MAO, riding a bicycle, runs into SHO from behind and attacks him. Ren Narita and Yujiro Takahashi attack MAO. MAO's fellow wrestlers, Strange Love Connection, from the DDT promotion are at ringside to help fight off House of Torture. They all fight through the crowd and to the back of the arena. They fight into a loading dock area behind the building. MAO hits a tope con hilo onto House of Torture off the loading dock. While they are dazed, MAO finds a small van and drives it into SHO and Narita. MAO was driving at a safe speed but SHO sold it as if he got knocked out.
MAO loads SHO into a flat cart and rolls him back to the ring. Once in the ring, the referee starts the match. MAO covers SHO, but SHO kicks out. Narita and Yujiro drag MAO from the ring and beat him with a chair.
More House of Torture shenanigans.
MAO hits a cutter and an open hand strike. MAO goes for the pin, but Yujiro pulls the referee out of the ring. House of Torture interfere and Strange Love Connection make the save. Kanemaru hits MAO in the head with the whiskey bottle. SHO hits a cross arm piledriver. MAO kicks out. SHO applies a cross arm breaker. SHO applies a triangle lock on MAO's arm. MAO gets to the ropes. SHO goes for his wrench. Kanemaru goes for the Suntory Surprise, but MAO ducks and sprays SHO. MAO pulls out a giant rubber fist, which looks like an arm from the movie "The Iron Giant". He punches SHO with the giant rubber fist. MAO hits a superkick. SHO kicks out. MAO hits a 450 Splash.
MAO pins SHO.
MAO finishes with 12 points.
SHO finishes with 8 points.
The English commentators said that MAO had to win the match with the "DDT style". This match was silly and over the top. MAO is a good wrestler, but the gimmicks will limit him in New Japan.
8 - El Desperado vs. Robbie Eagles
Both men attack each other's left leg. Eagles kept going for the Ron Miller Special. Desperado kept setting up for Numero Dos. They traded stiff shots. They exchanged nearfalls. Eagles hits an Asai DDT. Desperado hits Pinche Loco, but his leg is hurting to make the cover. Desperado hits another Pinche Loco. Eagles hits a Turbo Backpack. Both men are selling their legs. Eagles goes for Hyperion, but Desperado counters into Numero Dos. Eagles tries to climb on Desperado's shoulders but gets dropped with a Spinebuster. Desperado traps Eagles' arms and Numero Dos is fully applied.
Eagles submits.
El Desperado finishes with 12 points.
Robbie Eagles finishes with 8 points
Very good match.
They announce that, with a tie breaker, MAO is eliminated due to Desperado's win.
If Taiji Ishimori wins, then El Desperado wins the B Block.
If YOH wins, then YOH wins the B Block.
9 - YOH vs. Taiji Ishimori
Ishimori focuses on YOH's left arm and shoulder that is taped up. Ishimori goes for Bone Lock but YOH reverses into a cradle. Ishimori rams YOH's shoulder into the buckle and hits a shoulder breaker. YOH blocks La Mistica and goes for an Anaconda Vice. Ishimori reverses into a Bone Lock. YOH gets to his feet. Ishimori goes for a Bloody Cross but YOH counters into a roll up and cradle. Ishimori reverses back into a Bone Lock. Rope break. Ishimori hits Cypher Utaki. YOH with a neckbreaker. They trade strikes. YOH with a headbutt, which drops both men. YOH goes for another Anaconda Vice, but Ishimori hits another La Mistica and applies a Bone Lock. YOH reverses back into the Anaconda Vice. Ishimori gets to his feet and runs YOH into the turnbuckle. YOH hits an Ushigaroshi and a Dragon Suplex. Two count. YOH hits the Direct Drive.
YOH pins Ishimori.
YOH finishes with 12 points.
Taiji Ishimori finishes with 6 points.
YOH wins the B Block, with El Desperado and MAO losing out due to tie breakers.
On June 1, YOH will face Kosei Fujita for the Best of the Super Junior 32 Trophy.
