WYATT SICKS, HOGAN IN TNA, THE BLUE CAGE AND MORE

Wyatt Sicks success or flop?? I think they were successful in the form of a tribute to Bray but a flop because of their booking, not their fault.

At this point I would go with incomplete.  They made a splash when they debuted but the problem is that there is no one for them to naturally feud with.  They are a group of people and there really aren’t a lot of groups for them to feud with in WWE.  The product has gotten a lot more realistic under HHH’s booking and that makes it hard to fit them in.  It seems like that they have acknowledged that and broken Alexa Bliss away from there, which I think is the right move to make.  She’s a huge asset and they couldn’t get maximum value from her if she were with the group.

Listening to the recent episode of the 'My World' podcast about the beginning of the end Double J and TNA, the same question that crossed my mind before came across again. Who is telling the truth about how much creative control Hogan-Bischoff had when they arrived? Bischoff maintains Hogan had input, but not any creative control bar his own, and that Eric himself did do a lot of production stuff later on...but also he didn't make big decisions...despite confirming he did on some occasions. Jarrett paints it as Hogan-Bischoff being a regime change and that they were in control of creative etc. Certainly reports suggested at the time they did, but not 100%. Is this just one of those things where the truth is gonna be somewhere in the middle now that time has probably lost a lot of the nuanced details?

As I remember it at the time, what they wanted, they pretty much got.  They had Dixie Carter’s respect given what they had accomplished in the past.  It’s probably minutia to argue about the exact positions, but they wielded the power to make things happen, such as going up against Raw.  Maybe they “suggested” things but  Carter was very amenable to their suggestions.

On LFG, Undertaker called Bayley Humphrey the future of the women's division.  To me, she was the standout on the show, overshadowing even the two winners.  Who was the standout of the show for you?

I will go with Taker.  The man knows talent when he sees it.

Isn't LFG the perfect fit for a Gable Steveson, if he was still in the WWE system?  Do you see them bringing him back for a future season?  And why did they release him when they did, after only less than a handful of televised matches?

Personally, I just don’t think that he fit with WWE.  Some amateur wrestlers can make the transition to pro wrestling, others can’t.  Steveson never struck me as being a savant and I didn’t see much personality out of him.  I think if he were to make it in WWE he would really have to commit to it and I don’t know if that is something that he wants to do.

Since WWE is using a throwback theme for Saturday Night's Main Event, I was just wondering if there's any chance they'll use the old blue cage for the Drew McIntyre-Damien Priest match?  As someone who grew up watching the original events back in the 80s, I think it would be a cool idea to bring it back, just for this one time.

I don’t know if they will do it or not but that would be really cool if they did.
