After a short recap of last week’s episodes, Shawn Michaels gathers up the four finalists and the Legends. He asks the Legends how they can prepare the Future Greats for the finals in Madison Square Garden. The Undertaker talks about using nervous energy and turning it into positive energy. Bubba Ray says that they are all winners and whoever wins will be the one who steals the show. Michaels tells them to pack up and get ready before wishing the Future Greats luck.
Tyra Mae Steele is shown getting ready for the trip at her house. She takes some time to stretch in her sauna before packing up. Steele debates over which gear to wear, but decides to bring both options. Steele talks about how no loved ones were there when she won at the Olympics (due to COVID). For the LFG finals, though, everyone will be there.
Zena Sterling is then shown getting ready at her house. Sterling talks about getting injured during her match with Penina Tuilaepa. It’s just a contusion on her knee, though, and she should be fine. Sterling’s mom makes all of Zena’s gear, which leads to Sterling making a phone call to her mom. Her mom gives her a nice pep talk. Sterling talks about her goals and how Madison Square Garden was on her vision board.
Jasper Troy is shown getting ready at his house. His wife is helping him pack. Troy says that he took his style from Braun Strowman, Kevin Nash, and Bray Wyatt. Troy reads a picture book with his wife and baby and then they talk about the struggles they had when she was born. Troy’s daughter was only one pound when she was born and they only had one car while his wife was in the ICU. Troy handled all of that while also trying to kick off his wrestling career. His daughter is now 21 months old and has helped him mature in life while also motivating him to provide for his family.
Shiloh Hill is shown getting ready at his house. Hill shows off his AI friend (Beast) that he talks to and streams with. Beast gives Hill some advice on what he needs to do to win LFG. Hill is excited to wrestle in front of his family.
Everyone says their goodbyes and heads to the airport for the LFG finals at Madison Square Garden.
Zena Sterling joins Busted Open Radio to talk about her LFG experience. The more people doubt her, the more it motivates her to prove them wrong. Sterling is confident that everyone will believe in her in the end. Bubba Ray thinks that Sterling has a bright future in wrestling - LFG win or not.
The Future Greats are shown entering Madison Square Garden. They stop to take pictures with fans and then take in the scenes of Madison Square Garden. Sterling has goosebumps while taking it all in. Mickie James misses her team, but is excited to see how things shake out. Shiloh Hill’s mother is with him and talks about how proud of him she is. Jasper Troy’s wife is with him and feels that Troy is deserving of the moment.
Zena Sterling and Tyra Mae Steele joke around with each other a bit until things turn serious. Steele says that she’s going to attack Sterling and Zena doesn’t appreciate it. Sterling then talks about how much pain she’s in. As she goes over her match with Steele, Sterling struggles with the pain. Sterling connects with a stiff shot during the match rehearsal and Steele stretches her for it. Sterling goes to the trainer’s room to check on her knee before the finals. She gets the knee taped up with some extra padding. Sterling jokes around about how big the padding is.
Jasper Troy and Shiloh Hill are shown preparing for their match. The Undertaker likes how much they both seem to be on the same page. Troy gives credit to Hill for being so easy to work with.
Zena Sterling is talking with Bubba Ray as she gets ready for her match. They joke about her popping ibuprofens after the match. Tyra Mae Steele tells The Undertaker how nervous she is before the match, but he calms her down.
The Legends are introduced to the live crowd ahead of the first match.
Zena Sterling (Team Bubba) vs. Tyra Mae Steele (Team Undertaker)
Bubba Ray and The Undertaker give their Future Greats one last pep talk in the ring before the match starts.
Zena Sterling and Tyra Mae Steele lock up and Steele quickly hits a double leg takedown. Steele then hits a fireman’s carry after another lock up. Steele goes after Sterling’s leg, but Zena kicks her off. Sterling grabs an arm and cranks it, sending Steele to her knees with an arm bar. Steele stands out of it and sends Sterling to the ropes. Sterling hits a tackle and then a roll up that Steele kicks out of. Sterling tries another roll up and gets a two count. Sterling hits two slams and then grabs an arm again. Sterling sends Steele to the corner and hits a charging strike. Sterling rolls Steele over and gets another two count.
Steele drives Sterling to the corner and then sends her across the ring. Sterling uses the ropes to leap over the attacking Steele, but lands awkwardly on her knee. Steele kicks Sterling’s leg out from under her and then stomps on her while down on the mat. Steele drops her elbow down on Sterling’s knee multiple times and then continues to work it over. Steele stretches Sterling’s leg around the second rope and then uses the bottom rope to leap up and come down on Sterling’s leg. Steele then slaps on a standing heel hook, but Sterling kicks Steele off and to the floor.
Steele grabs Sterling’s leg and pulls her to the apron. Steele slams Sterling’s leg down on the apron several times and then gets back in the ring. Steele chop blocks Sterling and gets a two count. Steele slaps on a single leg crab, but Sterling crawls to the ropes to break up the hold. Steele grabs Sterling’s leg again, but Sterling kicks her off and then uses her legs to send Steele across the ring.
They exchange some strikes until Sterling hits a clothesline. Sterling hits another clothesline and a slam. Sterling hits a reverse DDT for a two count. Sterling goes for a suplex, but Steele slips out and slaps on an ankle lock. Sterling gets close to the ropes, but Steele drags her from them. Sterling tries a roll up, but Steele kicks out. Sterling goes for a tilt-a-whirl slam, but Steele slips out and locks on an STF variation. Sterling taps, giving Steele the win!
Winner: Tyra Mae Steele
In the back, Tyra Mae Steele and Zena Sterling show appreciation for each other. Sterling then reflects on performing at Madison Square Garden. The Undertaker tells Steele that she did well. Steele shows excitement over the moment while Sterling returns to the trainer to ice her knee.
Jasper Troy (Team Booker) vs. Shiloh Hill (Team Undertaker)
They lock up and break after neither man can gain control. They lock up again and Jasper Troy drives Shiloh Hill to the corner. Hill slips away, though. Troy tracks Hill and lifts him up. Troy pushes Hill off. Troy lifts Hill up again and lets him fall down to the mat. They come together again and Hill grabs a side headlock. Hill gets a two count with Troy’s shoulders down. Troy tries a roll up and gets a two count.
They stand and Hill goes for a tackle. Neither man budges. Hill then clotheslines Troy over the top rope and both men fall to the floor. Hill drives Troy into the side of the ring and then the ring post. Hill rolls Troy back into the ring and follows him in. Hill hits the ropes but eats a big tackle from Troy. Tory hits a standing splash three times to Hill’s back. Troy hits a running powerslam on Hill for a two count. Hill starts to fight back and lift Troy, but Jasper blocks it and clubs down on Shiloh. Troy goes after Hill’s face and then locks on an abdominal stretch.
Troy grinds his elbow into Hill’s ribs and hip. Hill is able to fight out of it and goes for a slam, but he can’t get it. Troy falls on top of him and gets a two count. Hill is able to fight back and hit a belly-to-back suplex. Hill blocks Troy’s punches and hits some of his own. Hill hits the ropes and hits a tackle. Troy doesn’t go down, but gets worked over in the corner. Hill hits a slam for a two count. Troy rolls to the apron and Hill hits a leg drop on him. Hill climbs to the second rope and hits a leaping bulldog for a two count. Hill hits the ropes, but Troy hits a Bossman Slam for the win!
Winner: Jasper Troy
In the back, Jasper Troy and Shiloh Hill show appreciation for each other. Troy is asked about wrestling in Madison Square Garden. He felt like he belonged. Troy loved seeing his wife and daughter in the crowd. Even though he wants to win LFG, he feels like he already won with his family. Troy’s wife and daughter are brought to the back and they celebrate the moment with him. The Undertaker congratulates Hill before he meets up with his family - all of whom are very proud of him.
Shawn Michaels meets with the Legends to determine which two Future Greats will get the NXT contracts. It’ll be Michaels’ decision, but he wants to hear from the Legends. Everyone thinks that Zena Sterling works hard and has a good character. Booker T gives Sterling credit for working through pain. As for Tyra Mae Steele, everyone thinks she has a ready-made character with the Olympic Gold Medal wins. Booker T hasn’t seen enough growth in Steele, though.
The Legends then talk about the men. They like Hill’s intensity and ability to be molded. Booker T feels that Hill doesn’t pace or space himself well enough. Bubba Ray says that Booker T is politicking for Jasper Troy. Booker T says that he’s just being honest. Either way, the Legends like how far Troy has come. Plus, Troy has a physical presence. Bubba Ray says that Troy can’t take any negative moments or else he gets upset.
Shawn Michaels brings in the Future Greats and announces the winner of the first ever LFG Championship - The Undertaker. The Undertaker is given the LFG Championship belt and he talks about how happy he is to have won.

Shawn Michaels then talks to the Future Greats about what the Legends said about them. He then picks the winners…
For the women, Michaels picks Tyra Mae Steele to receive the NXT contract. Michaels compliments Zena Sterling and calls her a future WWE superstar.
For the men, Michaels picks Jasper Troy to receive the NXT contract. Michaels compliments Shiloh Hill and says that his journey isn’t over.
Shawn Michaels congratulates Tyra Mae Steele and Jasper Troy again and welcomes them to NXT. In a voiceover, Joe Tessitore says that Zena Sterling and Shiloh Hill will get back to work on Season 2 of LFG.
