Do we know what Queen of the Ring made at the box office?
BoxOfficeMojo lists it at $380,000 domestically for its small, independent run. When a film is released with such a limited amount of marketing and promotion behind it, it's almost always going to make the majority of its money internationally or through VOD/DVD releases. Remember, this was not a studio release.
How long do you intend to keep writing or talking about Sabu?
For the rest of my life. Don't like it, don't read it.
Whatever happened to PWG?
The promotion shut down when Super Dragon's wife became very ill. It has, to date, not returned.
Whatever happened to the Gobbledy Gooker costume and do you think WWE/Fanatics would ever have the character available for photos on say a Wrestlemania weekend?
I would presume WWE still has the costume in their archives. I guess if fans actually wanted that meet and greet, WWE would do it at Fanatics events. I can tell you my five year old nephew loves that action figure, so the ridiculouness of the character does indeed live on!
I keep hearing the name Gabe Sapolsky when it comes to WWE EVOLVE. What's his story?
Gabe Sapolsky was actually going to college in Philadelphia and approached Tod Gordon about acquiring the rights to write and sell the old ECW programs. Gordon gave him the rights and from there he graduated to working in the ticket office and as an assistant to Paul Heyman. He was also running the Sabu Fan Club in the early 1990s as well. When ROH started, he was dragged kicking and screaming into becoming a booker by the original owners and has been one ever since. When he left ROH, he co-founded Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE. He now works with WWE in scouting talent and working on the WWE Evolve series.
Any update on Duke the dumpster Droese?
He is slated for court on 5/28.
