Why do they make such a big deal about John Cena being a 17 time world champion? Doesn’t that mean he lost 16 times? Shouldn’t they push the longest reigning champion, Bruno Sammartino, instead ?
They aren't telling a story about Bruno Sammartino.
I saw an article that said Sabu returned only a few months after breaking his neck? Legend.
That's wrong. He broke his neck on November 5, 1994 and returned to the ring on November 19, 1994. So, it wasn't a few months, it was 14 days later.
Why doesn't AEW have their own training facility like WWE does the PC and WCW did with the Power Plant? It would be very beneficial for the younger guys and girls on their roster who need to work on their in-ring and promos instead of having to learn everything on TV.
Why would they need to invest and build a Performance Center just to have one? They have a relationship with Adam Copeland's school in North Carolina if they felt the need to send talents somewhere, plus one of their VPs owns Create-A-Pro Wrestling.
With all the Sabu talk, who is on your ECW Mount Rushmore?
It's Sabu and Terry Funk and then after that it's debateable. Everyone who had a run there from 1994-1997 should get a lot of credit for putting ECW on the map.
After rewatching Sabu's match with John Cena this week and keeping in mind the Hogan-Muta match from 1993, what do you think Sabu vs. Hulk Hogan in Japan (the latter working his New Japan style) would have been like? I don't know, it's a bizarre fantasy match for me, but I for one would have found it intriguing.
My guess is it would have been like Hogan's matches in the 1980s. Sabu would have worked him over and bloodied him while Hogan sold forever and then made the comeback and got the pin. I don't see Hogan taking any bumps through a table.
Will you cover Hulk Hogan's Freestyle Wrestling?
If they are working matches and stories, sure.
