John Cena said on Smackdown that my childhood would die at Backlash? Randy doesn’t put in the work. Who writes this garbage?
It’s probably a group effort, with a heavy Cena influence. If it was me, I wouldn’t take credit for it.
Would you want to work with John Cena on his last run given the stink he has now put on Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes?
Me personally? Probably not but I have never wrestled a match. I can see why people would want to work with someone who has had the career that John has had.
After watching Backlash last night, my questions revolved around Jacob Fatu.
1. How awesome is he? The crowds just love him, and he was on fire last night. Obviously, the fans are turning him, it's so close and the anticipation of his split with Solo is growing by the week. I know we're only 3 weeks removed from WM, but one would have to think that consideration is being given to having him in one the main events next year, or at the very least, one of THE higher profile matches.
Jacob is awesome and white hot right now. The fans love him because he is a bad, bad man. If he stays on course, he will definitely headline a Mania at some point.
2. Do you see Fatu in the World/WWE title mix before next WM season, maybe by Summerslam?
He could be but they have to be careful about pushing him too far, too fast. If they play the cards right and make the fans wait for it, it will mean more when it happens.
3. I'm sure you've noticed, but to me, Tony Khan tends to copy a lot of WWE's booking. It seems that he sees something, makes an adjustment or two and then presents his C level version of what they do. In that vein, how can he not see what a benefit it is to have a big, intimidating, hardcore ass kicker, absolute killer ( Fatu ) on the roster who is presented as such? If he wants to copy something, copy that. (I'm sure Moxley thinks he's that guy, but when I look at him, I just see a guy pretending to be tough).
My take, given how Tony has booked for years, is that he doesn’t like big, tough guys. If he did, he would book them better. He is way more “work rate/5 star match” oriented than he is in seeing bad men do bad ass things. That’s one of the reasons that his product doesn’t appeal to me.
