Welcome to PWInsider.com’s May 7, 2025 coverage of WWE EVOLVE on Tubi! Scheduled for tonight is the Town Hall meeting that Stevie Turner, the Prime Minister of EVOLVE, called in order to make a big announcement.
This week’s episode starts off with Prime Minister Stevie Turner’s Town Hall. The EVOLVE roster stands around the ring as Stevie Turner stands in the ring and announces that EVOLVE will have a Women’s Championship. In three weeks, the Women’s Champion will be determined in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match. Kali Armstrong, Kendal Grey, and Wendy Choo will be in the match. The last spot is up for grabs. Turner tells the women to step up and take it.
There will also be a Men’s EVOLVE Championship. In four weeks, the Men’s Champion will also be determined in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match. Sean Legacy is announced for the match. Before Turner can announce anyone else, Keanu Carver gets on the apron and starts jawing with Harlem Lewis. Swipe Right jumps into the ring and tries to attack Carver and Lewis. Swipe Right is sent to the floor and Gallus gets in the ring. Gallus and Carver/Lewis fight and it spills to the floor.
Kali Armstong gets in the ring and checks out the Women’s Championship. Kendal Grey and some of the other women get in the ring. They pull Armstrong from the championship, which Armstrong doesn’t appreciate. Armstrong takes out Grey’s leg.
Peter Rosenberg and Robert Stone go over the social media interaction between Nikkita Lyons and Kendal Grey. They will face off tonight.
A Wendy Choo video package airs that focuses on her creepy head games.
Chuey Martinez is in the back with Summer Sorrell. Sorrell is nervous about facing Wendy Choo tonight. Sorrell’s first ever EVOLVE match is a nightmare, but she’s using it as fuel to succeed. The temperature is about to heat up because it’s Summer season.
A video package airs about the WWE ID program.
Nikkita Lyons is in Stevie Turner’s office. Lyons doesn’t think that Kendal Grey can hang with her. Turner tells Lyons that her match will be the main event. Zayda Steel enters and believes that Lyons will do great against Grey. Steel wants to be the fourth woman in the Women’s Championship match. The Vanity Project runs EVOLVE, so she needs to be involved. Turner says that Steel will have to earn her spot. Lyons tells Steel that maybe she can work on something together with The Vanity Project. Steel seems into it and they walk out together.
Summer Sorrell vs. Wendy Choo
Wendy Choo goes for a lockup, but Summer Sorrell cartwheels away from it. Choo goes for another lockup, but Sorrell ducks behind. Choo hits a back elbow, but Sorrell hits a roll up. Choo kicks out, but gets trapped in a side headlock. Choo works out of it and hits a tackle. Sorrell hits the ropes and hits a crossbody for a two count. Choo grabs Sorrell and drives her into the corner. Choo hits multiple shoulder attacks and a slap.
Choo takes Sorrell over and traps her neck between her legs. Choo hits a neckbreaker with her legs and then stalks Sorrell. Choo hairmares Sorrell and then charges into the corner. Sorrell gets a boot up and hits a sunset flip. Choo rolls out of it and hits a big kick. Choo hits a clothesline and then locks on the Dirt Nap for the submission win!
Winner: Wendy Choo
After the match, Wendy Choo attempts to draw a frown on Summer Sorrell’s face, but Kylie Rae runs out to make the save. Rae hits a big superkick that sends Choo to the floor. Rae stares down Choo.
A car pulls up in the parking lot and Lexis King gets out of it.
Lexis King makes his way to the ring. The King has finally arrived in EVOLVE. Once upon a time, The King was eager to debut for EVOLVE before he was such a huge star. EVOLVE is a portal to NXT. New faces are coming in and spotlights are shining on new talent. No one knows about spotlights more than Lexis King. He wants a taste of EVOLVE’s spotlight. King says that he’s the portal to NXT now. No one comes and goes between NXT without his say.
Sean Legacy’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He welcomes King to EVOLVE, but is tired of hearing him ramble on. Legacy isn’t going to let King disrespect the EVOLVE locker room. King mock’s Legacy being the locker room leader and super hero. Legacy says that there isn’t anything special about him - he’s just being himself. Legacy was told he’d never make it to WWE, but he’s worked his ass off to get to EVOLVE and NXT. Now that he’s under the WWE umbrella, he’s going to stand up for it.
King says that if Legacy is going to stand up for EVOLVE and those in the back, then why doesn’t he stand up to King next week? King offers a handshake and Legacy accepts it. Legacy says that the match next week sounds “super.” King pulls Legacy in on the handshake and tells him that Legacy has a long way to go to becoming a King.
Kendal Grey is in the back getting checked by the trainer. Carlee Bright comes in to check on her. Grey tells them both that she’s fine. She’s adamant about fighting tonight and taking on Nikkita Lyons alone.
Keanu Carver is in the back looking for Gallus. Stevie Turner stops him and tells him that Gallus left. Harlem Lewis approaches and is also looking for Gallus. Lewis wants to go find them. Turner says that if Carver and Lewis want Gallus then they can have them next week in a tag team match. Neither of them want to tag together again, but Turner puts her foot down. Carver and Lewis tell each other to stay in each other’s lanes.
Jackson Drake with The Vanity Project vs. Drako Knox
They lock up and Drako Knox drives Jackson Drake into the corner. Drake turns it around and the referee has to break up the lock up. Knox rushes out of the corner and lays Drake out with a punch. Knox hits a tackle, but then Drake trips him up. Drake charges into the corner, but Knox moves out of the way. Drake hits a kick and hops up to the second rope. Knox catches Drake and throws him overhead.
Drake shakes it off and drags Knox down to the mat. Drake hits a big back elbow for a two count. Drake hits an elbow to the back of the head and then slaps on a chinlock. Drake transitions to a sleeper-ish hold, but Knox works out of it and hits a back body drop. Knox hits two forearms and a slam. Knox goes for a suplex, but Drake counters and hits the ropes. Knox cuts him off with a knee and a sliding clothesline for a two count.
Knox goes for a belly-to-back suplex, but Drake blocks it and drags Knox down. Knox shakes it off and goes for another sliding move, but Drake turns it into a roll up for a two count. Drake hits a leaping kick and then goes for a handspring move. Knox catches him and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Drake rolls to the apron and tugs Knox down over the top rope. Drake rolls into the ring and eats a big lariat. Drake blocks Knox’s plans and hits Lethal Injection. He then hits the Unaliving for the win!
Winner: Jackson Drake
Chuey Martinez is in the back with Javier Bernal. Bernal has a much darker look to him - dressed in all black with some eyeliner. He’s not Big Body Javi anymore. He never was. He went to a metalcore show and it changed him. It’s Gal interrupts and says that no one cares about any version of Bernal. Martinez should have been interviewing It’s Gal. As It’s Gal walks away, Bernal says that he thinks he’s found his next opponent.
Lexis King is walking outside and The Vanity Project approaches him. Ricky Smokes says that King’s beard is looking extra crispy tonight. King says that Swipe Right looked crispy against Fraxiom on NXT. King says that Drake did well tonight. Drake says that King won’t have any issues against Sean Legacy. Bryce Donovan tells King that The Vanity Project can help him if he wants. King tells them that he’ll see them next week.
Nikkita Lyons vs. Kendal Grey
Kendal Grey has her knee taped up and she limps her way to the ring. She’s favoring it quite a bit, even during the main event introductions.
Nikkita Lyons immediately goes after Kendal Grey’s leg with kicks. Grey is able to duck a spinning kick, but is caught on her crossbody attempt. Lyons hits a tackle and then sends Grey into the corner. Grey ducks a chop and hits one of her own. Grey attacks Lyons’ leg and hits a basement kick. Lyons rolls to the floor and Grey tries to hit a sliding attack. Lyons catches her and slams Grey’s knee down on the apron. Lyons gets onto the apron and hits the Yam Slam.
They roll into the ring and Lyons slams Grey’s down on the mat. Lyons sends Grey to the corner and stretches her leg around the second rope. Lyons hits a rope assisted stomp onto Grey’s leg. Lyons locks on a leg submission. Grey works out of it, but eats a big spinning kick for a two count.
Lyons kicks at Grey’s leg and cranks it. Lyons hits a kneebreaker and then uses the ropes to jump down on Grey’s leg again. Lyons slams down Grey’s leg onto the mat again and then goes for another kneebreaker. Grey turns it into a roll up for a two count. Lyons ducks an enzuigiri, but is able to slingshot Grey into the mat. Lyons rolls into a single leg crab. Grey crawls her way to the ropes to break up the hold.
Lyons goes for a splash, but Grey moves out of the way. Grey starts to fight back with punches, but Lyons cuts her off with a kick. Grey shakes it off and slaps on an arm bar. Lyons is able to lift up Grey, but Grey wiggles out and locks on a rear naked choke. Lyons drives Grey into the corner. Grey gets a boot up on a charging attack and then climbs to the second rope. Grey hits a leaping kick for a two count. Grey ducks a kick and tries to jump up to the second turnbuckles. Grey’s leg gives out and she hits the mat hard. Lyons climbs to the second rope and hits a Vader Bomb for the win!
Winner: Nikkita Lyons
After the match, Kali Armstrong runs to the ring and attacks Kendal Grey. Armstrong works over Grey’s leg and slaps on a stretch muffler until referees break it up.
