For 2 years now, it's safe to say The Rock has come up with some questionable creative ideas leading up to Wrestlemania. At this point, if you are HHH and you see The Rock calling your phone to talk about a creative pitch, are you excited about having him appear and all the attention it brings, or are you dreading having to clean up the aftermath of one of his questionable ideas?
If I am HHH I am dreading it for sure. It’s hard to be in charge of creative and yet having to acquiesce to someone else having the ability to come in and mess up your plans. But, that’s the world HHH lives in.
Way too much BS in the Rock's interview on McAfee's show to cover everything, so I'll just ask this: is taking approximately 3 hours to reach the ring Travis Scott's conception of "working his ass off"? It was probably the slowest "run-in" in recorded history!
It was embarrassingly bad. Scott showed no aptitude for the business. He made Cody look so bad since he had to just lay there until Scott finally got over marking out for himself and made it to the ring. I hope we never see him again on a WWE show.
Wrestlemania was a up and down show with night 2 being better part of it but I don't understand why Cena was trying to get Travis Scott to hit Cody while the ref was watching as that would DQ Cena?
Because like most things involving Cena in WWE, logic is not something that we should expect when John Jack is on our screen.
I'm happy Bron Breakker is now firmly in the main event mix. I've seen a lot of fans online clamoring for him to be put with Heyman, so now that it's happened, we get to see where it goes. BUT, as I alluded to in a previous Q&A, there are some holes when it comes to who is a babyface/heel. Paul turning on Roman, to me, was justified. Roman had regressed to his old self, and Paul had enough. However, turning on Punk because Punk "made him choose" is pretty thin. But it seems WWE wants fans to view both betrayals as a heel move. Now Bron, while not having a definitive "I'm turning babyface " moment, was certainly being turned by the fans, much like Austin in the 90's and the Road Warriors in the 80's. Does this make Bron a heel again, and what does this all make Seth? Help me sort it out, Dave, ha!
To me it goes like this:
Seth - heel.
Heyman - heel.
Roman - heel.
Bron - heel.
Punk - babyface.
Is the Rock done? Are his matches with Cody and Roman off the table? It doesn’t feel right for him to come back during this Cena storyline after butchering this storyline and missing Wrestlemania.
We can only hope that this year is the last we see of Cena and Rock. They bring nothing to the table now for me except turmoil.
