What's the over/under on Hogan's Real American Freestyle Wrestling lasting longer than Pastamania?
That’s a tough one. Given that “real” pro wrestling has never sold to the public, they had better have some new take on it or my guess is it won’t set the world on fired.
So Cena turns heel on The Rock's say-so. He gives a terrible reason for the heel turn. Then he makes Cody look like a complete moron and beats him for the world title at Mania. Cena's retirement is seven months away, so the burning question is: how will Triple H manage to have Cena onscreen as champion as much as possible when he's still doing his Hollywood thing, craft a sensible exit plan for dropping the belt, and salvage and protect Cena's legacy instead of having him go out on his shield as a wholly uninspired bad guy?
That’s a damn good question and I have no reasonable answer. The whole thing has been a cluster to me. Honestly, I just want him to be gone at this point so I don’t care how they do it.
Ok, bear with me, McAfee vs. Gunther at Backlash, Gunther has destroyed Pat and he grabs a mic and tells Pat “since you like to run your mouth, how about you run it now.” Then he puts the mic to Pat’s face and Pat just yells “JOE HENDRY!” Then it hits…”Say his name and he appears!” Seriously though, where can this go? The can’t have Gunther lose to a commentator, and everyone already expects a squash. Could this be a chance for a return, or debut, to make the save for Pat?
I think Pat will get some stuff in. He has wrestled before and he was a pro football player, albeit a punter. He’s not Travis Scott. With that said yes, he can’t win so I expect an angle will come out of the match in some way.
Have a question regarding the Rollins/Heyman/Breakker faction. The formation of this group seems eerily similar when Rollins formed a group with AOP and became “The Messiah”, am I misremembering this or does this seem similar too?
I remember Seth with the AOP so you got that right but the new Alliance seems nothing like that to me. Time will tell!
Thoughts on new WWE roster cuts?
TKO is all about making money so in most cases I was not surprised. If talents are not being used, it doesn’t surprise me if they get released. TKO is not going to pay people they aren’t using just because they can. With that said, I was very surprised by the release of Braun Strowman. He had been doing strong work and there is a lot of value in him. I guess they decided it wasn’t worth what they were paying. It would make me wonder about my own status if I worked there. If they would let someone go that would seem safe, what does that mean to me? I also want to say that it’s criminal that they never got out of Shayna Baszler what she had to offer. Creative totally blew it with her.
