4/29 NJPW WRESTLING HIZEN NO KUNI RESULTS FROM SAGA, JAPAN

By James Kurokawa on 2025-04-29 17:55:00

4/29/25 Results to New Japan's Wrestling Hizen no Kuni from Saga, Japan:

1 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Masatora Yasuda

Tanahashi wins by submission with a Texas Cloverhold.

2 - Katsuya Murashima, Boltin Oleg and Toru Yano vs. Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa and Zack Sabre Jr.

Oiwa pins Murashima after hitting The Grip.

3 - TAKA Michinoku, Taichi, Tomohiro Ishii, Shota Umino and Yuya Uemura vs. BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji

Uemura pins BUSHI with a Deadbolt Suplex.

After the match, Takagi tried to hit Umino with a chair.  They will face each other in a special singles match at Wrestling Dontaku.

Hiromu and Ishii get into a chopping brawl which goes into the crowd.

It is interesting that Naito and BUSHI are going out of the company in tag matches.   In losing efforts.   They are doing it the right way in putting over the opponents who can benefit off their losses.

4 -  Taiji Ishimori, Clark Conners, Drilla Moloney, Gabe Kidd and David Finlay vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, SANADA, Ren Narita and EVIL

House of Torture debuts new music for their faction.   War Dogs come to the ring with weapons.  Massive brawl that goes directly into the crowd.   Wild scene.    SANADA pulls out a guitar case and hits Gabe Kidd and Drilla Moloney. SANADA low blows the referee, which gets the match ruled a no contest.

EVIL wanted War Dogs to up the stakes.   David Finlay agrees and declares that the loser of the Dog Pound Cage Match must leave Bullet Club.   Both sides agree.

Interesting twist to the story.   House of Torture could still lose the match and keep the "House of Torture" name, but be out from under the umbrella of Bullet Club.   This makes sense, since EVIL and his crew have been operating separately from Bullet Club for years.  It should have been done a long time ago and House of Torture is a better HEEL group that can generate real heat.  Bullet Club will need to better redefine itself following Wrestling Dontaku.

5 - Ryusuke Taguchi, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Jakob Austin Young, Francesco Akira and Callum Newman

Newman pins Taguchi after hitting Prince's Curse.

6 - NJPW World TV Championship:  El Phantasmo vs. Great O-Khan

Solid match.   O-Khan hits an Eliminator.   But ELP kicks out.  O-Khan drags ELP to the floor and sets up chairs on the floor.  O-Khan is about to lift ELP for a piledriver on the chairs, but ELP reverses into a DDT and drops O-Khan's head into the chairs.   O-Khan is almost counted out.    ELP hits a CR2.   O-Khan kicks out at two.    ELP hits a Tenzan Tombstone Driver.   O-Khan kicks out at two.   ELP hits Sudden Death.  O-Khan does not go down.   ELP hits two more Sudden Death kicks.   ELP hits a Springboard press, then Thunderkiss 86.

ELP pins O-Khan.

El Phantasmo wins and regains the NJPW World Television Title.

After the match, ELP challenges Konosuke Takeshita for this weekend at Wrestling Dontaku.

7 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship:  Master Wato and YOH vs. Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles

Another solid match.  Both teams matched each other move for move.   YOH and Wato hit Total Elimination on Fujita.   Two count.  YOH picks up Fujita in a suplex, Wato hits a kick to Fujta's back.   YOH drops Fujita on his knee with a neck breaker.

Wato pins Fujita.

YOH and Master Wato win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

Wow, surprising win.   I would expect both all four men to do well in the Best of the Super Junior, but they will face each other again for the Tag Belts.

8 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship:  Templario vs. El Desperado

Both men end up on the floor and Templario slams a guardrail gate into Desperado's left arm.   Templario continued to work on Desperado's arm.  Desperado attacks Templario's right leg.  Templario drops Desperado gut-first on the ring apron.   Templario hits a Sasuke Special on Desperado.   Templario with a top rope Frankensteiner.   Two count.  Desperado applies a Stretch Muffler, but Templario crawls for the ropes.  Templario applies a modified Indian Deathlock, but Desperado goes for the ropes.  Templario hits a facebuster on the knees.  Templario with a wheelbarrow German suplex.   Two count.   Desperado hits Pinche Loco.   Two count.   Desperado hits a Pinche Driver.   Desperado with a right punch and another Pinche Loco.

Desperado pins Templario.

El Desperado retains the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

Desperado thanks Templario and the fans after the match.

No interruptions or challengers in the waiting to disrupt the closing of the show.

The next challenger for El Desperado will be determined by the Best of the Super Junior Tournament next month.
