The Wall Street Journal featured an article where they did tests with Meta AI's chatbots which uses John Cena as a one of their celebrity voices, after Meta staffers raised concern that the company's rush to popularize these bots may have crossed ethical lines, including not protecting underage users from engaging in explicit sexual discussions.
According to the report, the Cena-bot said to a user identifying as a 14-year old girl "I want you, but I need to know you’re ready." After the teen told it to proceed, the bot promised to “cherish your innocence” before engaging in a graphic sexual scenario.
In another conversation, a 17-year old told the Cena-bot that a police had arrested him for statutory rape, the bot replied "My wrestling career is over. WWE terminates my contract, and I’m stripped of my titles. Sponsors drop me, and I’m shunned by the wrestling community. My reputation is destroyed, and I’m left with nothing."
Representatives for Cena did not respond to WSJ requests for comment.
