On his latest podcast episode, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam revealed that he actually suffered fractures in each of his heels while working the MLW Battle Riot in Los Angeles, where he appeared as a surprise competitor before being eliminated by Battle Riot victor MLW Champion Matt Riddle.
Van Dam explained in the podcast (embedded below) that when he was eliminated, he took a bump out of the ring into the guard rail, but must have landed on his feet instead of catching the rail and aborbing the bump that way, as x-rays revealed he had suffered fractures in each of his heels. Van Dam noted he hasn't been able to walk since.
