I've enjoyed the crossover between NXT and TNA, but the surprise element has warn off. Too many crossovers, lack of top stars, and most of all predicability. Aside from Joe Hendry, The Hardyz, and Moose...there's no true star power appearing. When a wrestler challenges for a championship of the opposite company, you know they will lose. Do you feel it's time for a TNA wrestler to win a NXT Championship and a NXT wrestler to win a TNA Championship? To spice up the interest at least?
They could do that, for sure, but unless WWE buys TNA there is really nothing in it for them to put one of their titles on a TNA talent. It’s the difference between what we be cool for fans and what TKO wants to for its business. They don’t have any reason to make TNA look equal to NXT.
I really thought that the AAA purchase would have been a bigger story than it has. Maybe WrestleMania overshadowed everything. Do you think step one for TKO is to address the Alberto situation? I don't want to see this POS ever again, and I can't imagine TKO wants anything to do with him. It seems like a waste just to have Vikingo or Fenix recapture and take the belt off him. And second, what do you think TKO's attitude is towards the mini divisions?
I don’t think Alberto was even thought about in the sale. TKO couldn’t care less about him. As for AAA, it’s not what it was decades ago. I don’t think the majority of WWE fans even know it exists. It wasn’t like they bought AEW or even New Japan (which is also not close to what it used to be).
Dakota Kai did some stuff at WWE World over Mania Weekend. Otherwise, she hasn't been on WWE TV since March 31 when the European Tour ended. Any word on her status?
As far as I know she is fine. Every year at Mania time we see people who don’t have a spot on the show miss out on TV time, like Alexa Bliss or Nia Jax.
I just read what the Rock said on Pat's show.....is there some sort of drug in his tequila? Dude is oblivious to how much he has screwed up WWE.
I can confidently say that he doesn’t market his tequila with drugs in it. Again, he was in ONE storyline. He didn’t screw up the others.
I like to operate under the principle that "There's no one right way to be a wrestling fan, but there are definitely wrong ways", and people who claim that Joe Hendry was EMBARRASSED at Wrestlemania and got BURIED by the WWE need to take a good, hard look at themselves because they embody everything that is wrong with wrestling fandom and discourse.
Anyone who thinks Hendry was embarrassed at Mania is someone whose opinion means less than nothing to me. Seriously, that’s just a stupid hot take.
