CENA IS AN INEFFECTIVE HEEL, IT’S NOT ALL ROCK’S FAULT, PUNK’S MOMENT AND MORE

Even though ANYTHING would have been better than what we got, could a Cena heel turn have been booked in an effective way at all? And at this point in his career, why did he even bother? He should have broken the record, done the job at the end, and ridden off into the sunset on a wave of goodwill.

It definitely could have been booked better.  We have given examples of what they could have done on our shows.  I am with you, why turn him in the first place?  It's his last hurrah.  I think they would have been better served to give the fans what they wanted.  He's a terrible heel.

Hey Rock, if you’re too F’N busy to come to Wrestlemania, don’t insert yourself on the Road to Wrestlemania, you self-serving jackass who thinks he’s smarter than he is, and whose erratic booking makes Tony Khan look like the 2nd coming of 80’s Mid-South. No douchebag, you can’t just “come back to it later” because WWE is an ongoing soap opera and the landscape shifts dramatically over a few months. Isn’t it jaw dropping that someone who touts he grew up in the business doesn’t get that he F’d up WM41…and beyond?

If Rock is to be believed, and it seems like he is telling the truth, Ari Emmanuel asked for him to get involved to sell tickets to The Elimination Chamber.  If that was all he was asked to do, or agreed to do, it’s not all his fault.  Now, he should have not been the one to give John Cena the throat slash if he wasn’t going to be involved but Cena should have taken issue with the creative and said something.  Even after the fact, he could have said that he wasn’t following Rock’s orders, he used him as a distraction.  But, he didn’t, because he is a terrible heel that would rather bore people with the bad guy version of his sappy character.

It pains me to say this as a former Rock mark, but it’s time for him to wrestle Cody and Roman and finally retire. Rock’s mercurial storyline ideas, massive ego, and self-serving movie schedule effectively ruined the main event of WM41 and torpedoed months of long term booking. Has fame and power gone to the Rock’s head - and what can be done about it?

Rock is tight with Ari and Nick Khan so he probably isn’t going anywhere.  With that said, he had nothing to do with the many matches that had meh builds to Mania.  You have to blame HHH for that, not Rock.

Part timers are fine for special PLE attractions. Now, after WM 41’s debacle, with Cena not showing for weeks at a time for the Road to WrestleMania, Rock no showing at all, and Roman’s sporadic appearances too - can we agree part-timers who won’t work the build, should be kept far away from WrestleMania main events?

We can agree all we want but if the WWE brass feels differently it doesn’t matter.

How great was the moment during Punk's entrance at Mania when Paul leans in and shows him the watch for "clobbering time'?  The look on Paul's face, to me, seemed to be one of pure joy and pride.  The match was fantastic, but I have watched that entrance on YouTube multiple times because of that genuine feeling we experienced there.

It was a really, really cool moment.  I felt great for them both.  It was a long journey.
