Can you suggest a book that doesn't get enough love that would feature 1990s wrestling stories?
I'd suggest Scott Norton’s autobiography, Strong Style. If you’re even slightly into Japanese wrestling, it's an excellent read and I don't think there's ever been another book about what it's like, as a foreigner, earning your way to the top of a Japanese promotion. He goes into building credibility in Japan, the grind of the tours, the culture, the way the matches were structured, nightlife, etc. It's a good read. He also goes into his time in the AWA, WCW, Portland and Tony Condello tours, as well as his time in arm wrestling and more. It's a great series of stories from the perspective of someone who’s been everywhere, seen everything, and has zero reason to sugarcoat his thoughts. He gives a great insight into how overwhelmed Eric Bischoff was running WCW, what Verne Gagne was like to deal with and much more.
Is Rhio from the UK the same as Riho from AEW?
No, two different performers.
What plans changed in pro wrestling because of the pandemic?
Off the top of my head, Drew McIntyre was about to win the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar before 70,000+ fans in Tampa, Florida. Billy Corgan's the NWA was about to sign a deal with Live Nation to tour in their venues. Ring of Honor was about to launch a live, weekly studio series that would have streamed live and hit a number of Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliates live. Impact Wrestling was planning to spin TNA back off into a separate weekly series on AXS TV. AEW had just signed a new extension with WarnerMedia and was poised to tour the country. New Japan was going to run Madison Square Garden. Much of that never happened.
Why hasn't WWE brought back Mandy Rose yet?
I haven't heard anything regarding why she hasn't returned, or even if she wants to.
Who was Krusher Kruschev in the NWA?
That was Barry Darsow, aka Demolition Smash and Repo Man.
