Who puts the matches together on LFG? The wrestlers or the coaches and unlike a regular show there is a picked winner and loser to move stories along, but LFG is supposed to be a "real" competition so how do they determine who wins the match?
The matches are put together with a Producer working with the talents, the same as any other WWE match. I haven't heard who decides who goes over. Jeremy Borash is the executive producer.

If John Cena doesn’t need us or want anything from us, why does he keep trying to sell us his merchandise?
I have been making that same point for a while now. John hates us, but he has new merch to sell us every time we see him.
Make this make sense. Ospreay beats Takeshita in a tightly contested match in a tournament to crown the number one contender for the world championship. But instead of Don Callis managing the match from ringside, where he may affect the outcome of the match, he's on commentary? It seems like every time a manager is onscreen for AEW, they're NOT DOING A MANAGER'S JOB. On top of that, AEW generally has three people on commentary anyway, so adding a fourth often seems like two too many. Why do they do this? Or am I wrong?

Once Rey Mysterio got hurt and left the match, shouldn’t they have called an audible and have Gable’s crew lose the match? They looked really bad losing what became a handicap match.
If it were me booking, I would have considered that for sure. Once Rey disappeared it was a 3 on 2 match. I don’t think changing the finish would have hurt anything. It probably would have gotten more heat for Gable’s crew. They need to start winning at some point.
