During the Wrestlemania Countdown Show, it was announced that WWE has acquired Lucha Libre AAA.
First formed in 1993 by the late Antonio Pena, the promotion was the original home of Rey Mysterio, Psicosis, Juiventud Guerrera, Konnan and many more.
There will be additional details announced in the days ahead obviously.
This purchase gives WWE massive new footprint in Mexico as well as a pipeline to lots of lucha talents.
It also puts them in direct competition with CMLL, which is allied with AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
