4/19 4TH ROPE WRESTLING: THE HEELS HAVE EYES - FOR THE CULTURE REPORT FROM LAS VEGAS

By Adam Cardoza on 2025-04-19 14:04:00

4th Rope - The Heels Have Eyes - For the Culture

4/19/25 - Las Vegas, NV

David Otunga & Ernest the Cat Miller are on commentary! Kevin Martin is your announcer! The Hurt Syndicate out here with a live performance from Westside Gunn for their entrance! The crowd is popped hard for the AEW tag champs! WE HURT PEOPLE! WE HURT PEOPLE! WE HURT PEOPLE! MVP is the commissioner of 4th Rope and has Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley at his back. He welcomes everyone to this show! It wasn’t a match but damn, what a start to fire the room up!

Match 1: Mustafa Ali vs Trevor Lee vs Leon Slater

Ali and Lee are big manning the relatively lesser known Slater. Leon wants this match to go faster than either of his opponents want and they team up to slow him right now. Leon flies over the corner and catches his back on the top of the post. Ali and Lee pick him apart, drawing the ire of the crowd. This is supposed to be a triple threat but this feels more like a handicap match. Leon with a blue thunder bomb to Ali! Ali misses a 450 but Lee sends him flying out of the ring. Leon with a victory roll on Lee and locks the legs for the three!

Match 2: Moose vs Oni King

Moose extends his hand…..nah, it’s double birds. The crowd doesn’t like this disrespect. Moose trying to bully Oni with his power but Oni is speedy. Cool handspring double basement double knees to the back of Moose’s head. King stuns Moose with a suplex and looks to put the X Division champ away. Moose rakes the eyes and blasts King with a spear for the win.

They bring out Justin Roberts as a special guest announcer! It’s an Open Challenge for the 4th Rope Tag Team Championships! Who will accept the test against the HARDY BOYZ?!? The Hardys take a LONG time to make their entrance….like to the point we worried they weren’t there? Who answers the call? Devon Dudley is out here?!? He says the Hardys want an up-and-coming tag team because they are scared of another a** whupping from the Dudleys. Maybe we’re working to that match finally? But not tonight….but for TONIGHT, Devon has a team that he and Bubba have molded into contenders: His son! Terrance and Terrell Hughes! TNT!

Match 3: The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy)(c) vs TNT (Terrence & Terrell Hughes w/ Devon Dudley) (for the 4th Rope Tag Team Championship)

There’s no tables, chairs or ladders…but there is a Devon Dudley at ringside who is more than happy to pull a leg and keep the Hardys wanting eyes in the back of their head. TNT working over the Hardys and the crowd does NOT love this. Hardys work from underneath for a lot of this but Jeff lands a Swanton and Devon isn’t close enough to affect anything. The Hardys found a way to keep these championships despite a long term rival trying his damndest to put his sons on top.

Match 4: Raj Dhesi vs Mike Santana

So I’m watching this with a group of non-indie wrestling fans. They were stoked to see Santana….but their faces FELL INTO THE BASEMENT when they realized Jinder Mahal was on the other side of this match. It is what it is. The crowd is here for Santana are well but this definitely feel like a cooldown after a Hardys match. This gets into a straight forward game of heavy strikes that spills to the floor. Jinder tries to wear Santana down back in the ring. The ref accidentally eats a kick and Dhesi just kicks Santana right in the junk. He grabs a chair, the crowd is mad about this. He goes to attack Santana but JBL WALKS DOWN AND CLOTHESLINES RAJ. WTF IS HAPPENING? JBL stands Raj back up and Santana hits his own Clothesline from Hell. The ref crawls over and make the slow count. This was what it was. It kind of made no sense. But it’s over now.

Match 5: Hollyhood Haley J & Vix Crow vs Masha Slamovitch & Alexis Littlefoot

Hollyhood gets mauled by the tandem of Masha and Littlefoot and gets RIGHT out of there. Vix isn’t particularly excited about getting tagged into this either. She takes control over Littlefoot but Haley J is nowhere to be found for a tag back in? Oh, she’s in the crowd, dancing for dudes and collecting dollars. Crow is ANNOYED about this and demands her partner get into position. HALEY IS MAKING MONEY, VIX! Haley back on the apron, Vix rammed into Haley and Littlefoot roll her up for the surprise three! Masha was barely in this and she is clearly stoked for the easy pay window trip. Vix gets into Haley’s face. What the f*** was THAT? Haley blasts her with a sock with a rock in it. “WELCOME TO HEELS HAVE EYES, B****!” - blink blink blink. This show is starting to go off the rails. Lol

Match 6: The Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carli Bravo w/ Trish Adora) vs Culture Inc (Eli Knight & Malik Bosede w/ Nick J Holliday) (Anything Goes Street Fight)

This goes right into the crowd. Big brawl between these two very good teams. Culture inc with stereo suicide chairs with chairs! Dean eats a double super kick on the stage! Bravo tossed into the screen! This is turning into a mugging…but Infantry won’t stay down. Shawn Dean flies out of nowhere and crashes through everyone! Adora staying out of the mix but pumps up the crowd when her dudes get going again. This fight almost goes backstage but did Eli Knight just drop out of the sky from the stands?!? Back in the ring, Malik sent flying back to the floor. High lariat to Knight! Infantry grabbing chairs! Double double stomp into a chair and you could count Knight down for 100. Wild chaos in this one.

Match 7: Tiara James vs Maya World

Both of these ladies drip confidence and swagger and refuse to let the other stand out. James hits a backstabber and gets the three in almost no time….Maya looks like she went out on that move and the ref was clearly surprised to be counting the three. This was sudden and I HOPE Maya World gets the attention she needs. Oof. Props to Tiara for keeping in character and walking out as if to say “of COURSE I won”.

Justin Roberts is back out here. He has an experiment to conduct. He wants to see what happens if he says a certain name.  HE APPEARS! Joe Hendry is here! He wants some action tonight….AND THE GODFATHER IS HERE! HE’S BRINGING THE HOOOOOOOO TRAAAAAAAIIIIIIN! Hendry is in shock! The crowd is popped hard! Godfather has plenty of action for the TNA Champion. Do we believe in Ho Hendry? Hendry takes issue with calling them ho’s. Why can’t it be the “nice lady train”? Everyone disagrees. Godfather acquiesces and offers to put Hendry on the “lovely lady train”. Hendry gets Godfather to do the spin to camera with him. This is a delightful segment. Hendry leaves with the train….but they get to into it and he runs away. Amazing.

Match 8: Over the Top Rope Battle Royale for the 4th Rope Flyweight Championship

Number 1: Real1 (Enzo)

Real1 gotta do that mic work before we get going. How you doin? He’s going through all 19 men because they are SAWFT.

Number 2: Joe Alonzo

Joe Alonzo is ALSO annoying and has an “extremely punchable face”. Real1 doesn’t want to engage and offers to team up to survive longer.

Number 3: Mo Jabari

The alliance is working as they attack Jabari on the stage. The razor’s edge Mo into the crowd! They bring Jabari in the ring to throw him right out.

Number 4: Sidney Akeem

Akeem is ready and super kicks Alonzo on the stage. Corkscrew splash to Real1! Great cutter to Alonzo. Real1 catches Sidney with eat defeet and tosses Akeem. This is working (for them)

Number 5: Richard Holliday

Oh man, the crowd hates this. Holiday has the mic and has a certified good idea. He wants in on this alliance. It’s a sound strategy. They wait for the next entrant….and at the last moment, Alonzo and Real1 cross Holiday and send him flying.

Number 6: John Wayne Murdoch

JWM isn’t here to join the white scumbag alliance. He is right into the fight but it IS still a two on one. Real1 with another razor’s edge…right into the post on the outside.

Number 7: Mance Warner

The numbers evening up as Mancer brings the deathmatch flavor in with JWM. Real1 and Alonzo’s strategy is starting to fail in the face of these bruisers.

Number 8: Cha Cha Charlie

Charlie is here for a good time so Mance and JWM leave Alonzo prone for Cha Cha to hit a frog splash and sends Joe flying. Real1 staggers to the apron as the next entrant hits…

Number 9: Rich Swann

It’s a dance off between Swann and Charlie! They hug….and Charlie hits a back suplex! We’ve gotten into PROPER battle Royale territory now.

Number 10: AJ Francis

Real1 is relieved to see Francis. AJ baits him in and smashes him on the runway. No alliance I guess. AJ quickly tosses Murdoch over the top. No one is happy.

Number 11: Bounty Keith

Real1 trying for an alliance again. AJ stops that negotiation but eats a double suplex from Real1 and Keith.

Number 12: Tommy Dreamer

What IS the weight limit for the “flyweight division” anyways? Dreaming throwing those dusty punches. Mancer is busted open after Dreamer bites his forehead!

Number 13: Kevin Blackwood

Brain buster to Keith! Dreamer is just biting everyone! When did he become such a cannibal?

Number 14: AJ Gray

AJ GRAY IS HERE?!? WHAT?!? It’s been a MINUTE since I’ve seen him around.

Number 15: Kenny King

King joins the fray and standing tall early. BUT….

Number 16: Oddyssey

Oddyssey just big manning the entire ring right now util Francis gets in there. AJ picks up Odyssey and press slams him over the top. Nooooo! Everyone’s had enough and starts working AJ over.

Number 17: Isaiah Broner

Another powerful bruiser enters the battle and goes right into a standoff with AJ. Broner F5’s AJ!

Number 18: Elijah

The wandering bard brings his guitar and smashes it on everyone. Broner stunned and tossed. Elijah tosses Gray.! ELIJAH??? Is the one cleaning house? He goes old school on Tommy Dreamer and sends him flying. Francis catches Kenny King and sends him flying. Rich picked up and tossed. Real1 and Keith try to solve the Francis problem.

Number 19: Kevin Knight

Slingshot clothesline to Francis! Knight and Charlie square off. Knight drops him and hits a standing high angle frog splash!

Number 20: Nic Nemeth (w/ Ryan Nemeth)

Ryan isn’t IN but he’s HERE. Nemeth offering up super kicks all around! AJ Francis super kicked out of the ring!!!! Real1 is STILL HERE.

Number 21: EJ Nduka

Nduka is a BIG MOTHERF***ER. OH MY GOD. Powerbombs all around! The camera is a little all over the place and I can’t help but think I missed an elimination somewhere that no one is talking about Nduka with a cross body and takes out Kevin Knight, Bounty Keith AND himself! WOW. Elijah trying to take Nic off the apron. Ryan trying to make the save and pull down Elijah...but he takes Nic with him and they are both out! It’s down to Real1 and Cha Cha Charlie. Real1 tossed but he skins the cat and tosses Charlie to go the distance, win the rumble, bomcing the inaugural 4th Rope flyweight champion!

MADUSA IS HERE TO PRESENT THE BELT. Real1 on the mic and says No One on the For The Culture show deserves this more than him. Hooo boy. I know this isn’t supposed to be a heel promo….but it FEELS like one. He swerves the tone and puts over Madusa for giving him the confidence to keep going when he was fired from WWE. He sends a thank up to Brody and Windham in the sky. This is the first family of 4th Rope

Back to Justin Roberts! He brings out Chris Bey! He’s grateful and thankful to be walking out here after his neck injury. He calls everyone sickos for being here at 3am. But everyone is here FOR THE CULTURE.

Match 9: Matt Riddle vs Gabe Kidd

This promises to be technical as hell..until Riddle starts running his mouth and that irritates Kidd right to his feet and they start swinging hard, brawling into the crowd. Kidd tries a suplex but Riddle overpowers him and hits a fisherman’s buster for two. I feel like I don’t need to see this match on this show. Like the Raj/Santana match, this feels more like a cool down from the rumble. Riddle hits the floating bro and a running knee but can’t get the job done. He goes to the well like he remembers his old friend Randy. He tries the tombstone but Kidd rolls him up and arches back to keep the legs trapped for the three! Riddle is P***ED….but offers a handshake…and then hits a RKO. Take that, Gabe Kidd.

MVP is back out here to keep the crowd going while we set up for the main event. He introduces Flatbush Zombies to entertain us! Next out is Joey Bada$$! Crowd digging this concert segment as the crew works on that steel structure. Stove God Cooks closes this out as the cage is complete and our main event is kicking off!

Main Event: Zilla Fatu(c) vs Josh Bishop (Steel Cage Match for the 4th Rope Championship)

As the years go on, Josh Bishop looks more and more like Psycho Sid. Let’s hope he doesn’t get into softball. The slugfest kicks off and Bishop takes steel within moments. And he’s already in a crimson mask. Bishop avoids the samoan spike! Zilla tossed across the ring! Big Josh busts Zilla open but….Fatu doesn’t bleed as good. Bishop looks like a pink-haired party clown at this point. Zilla trying to come off the top of the cage…..Bishop intercepts and tosses him off for the two! He goes for a piledriver but the champ back body drops him. Zilla shoulder blocking! Back to the top for a Samoan splash! Kick out! Zilla back up, Josh climbs up to stomp his head into the cage! Zilla gets him up for an avalanche samoan drop! Zilla calls for the spike again! A running Samoan spike flattens Bishop and keeps him down for the three in a hard hitting bloodbath.

What the f***….a crew from Reality of Wrestling led by Johnny Fatu just hit the ring to beat up his cousin?!? Josh Bishop tries to help but the RoW gang lays them both out.  They hold up Zilla for a samoan superkick as the crowd boos this development to close the show. Zilla choked out with a 2x4 as Booker T pops onto the screen to warn Zilla that RoW is firing the first shots against 4th Rope. Promotion War!!!!
