3/26 AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2025-03-26 22:09:00

IT’S WEDNESDAY!!! You know what that means! AEW is live and on the air. We are joined by Taz, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone on the call of the action tonight. Our intro is presented by Minecraft: The Movie.

Kenny Omega vs. Blake Christian w/ Lee Johnson

This should be a good match, as Christian is solid in the ring. My opinion? He needs to go all the way with his Vanilla character. This is a non-title match. Intimate venue AEW is in tonight and it looks good. Lockup, waistlock by Omega. Arm twist by Omega, Christian reverses and nails a snap mare. Side headlock takeover by Omega. Shoulder tackle by Omega, Blake pops up and pie-faces Omega. Chops by Omega. Belly-to-back by Omega. Omega misses a buckle charge. Omega with punches. Nice shotgun dropkick by Christian. Christian gouges the eyes and nails a spear. Omega to the floor. Inverted tope by Blake.

Call me biased but I’m glad to see Christian shining here.

Snap dragon by Omega, followed by another. Backbreaker by Omega. V-Trigger and a One-Winged Angel and Omega has the pin.

WINNER: KENNY OMEGA

Omega has the mic. Unfortunately, he said he promised Tony Khan he’d make the match quick. Kind of crapped on Christian there. Speedball Bailey comes out and congratulates Omega on the win and calls him an inspiration. He admires and respects Omega but vows to win the International Title. Ricochet on the big screen is dressed to the nines. Today is apparently his wedding. He also vows to win the International Title. Back in the ring, Omega puts over his cat (mine is better).

We hear from the Learning Tree. Jericho is talking down to the Redwood and the Bad Apple. He tells them to prove themselves. Jericho challenges Bandido to a title vs. mask match at Dynasty.

MJF comes out. He makes a Prince joke in St. Paul. He makes fun of Minnesota. Dems’ fighting words! He calls out MVP, who comes out. This should be good. MVP looks like $1,000,001 bucks. MJF says he’d like to be in the business of hurting people. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin come out. Bobby offers his hand but wants the card. He rips it and gets in MJF’s face. MJF backs out and leaves the ring. Shelton seems confused. Bryan Keith and Big Bill come out. They come out and issue a challenge to the AEW World Tag Team Champions. MVP tells them to win a match first.

Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa cut a promo on Meagan Bayne and Taya Valkyrie.

Brody King vs. Kyle Fletcher w/ Don Callis

Don Callis messes with Schiavone. Helluva kick by Kyle and he stomps away in the corner. He poses as King rises up. Chops by King. King forearms in the corner. Fletcher rolls out. Fletcher returns and a senton by King. Chops by King. Kyle regains the edge and stomps King on the ropes. King with a clothesline over the top as we go to commercial.

We are back and Fletcher is in charge. He preens to the crowd. King fires away. Forearm by Kyle. Boss Man slam by King. Big backdrop by King. Fletcher rolls out. Tope suicida by King. King sends Kyle into the rail and chops him. Fletcher sends King into the post. PK by Fletcher into a tope suicida of his own. DVD by King on the apron as we go back to commercial.

We are back and it’s a slugfest. Kyle goes down. Lariat by King, GREAT match thus far. Kick and a tombstone by Kyle for 2. Kyle looks frustrated. Another running lariat by King. Body block by King. King misses a cannonball as Kyle Davis pulls Fletcher away. Overhand chop by King but it’s Fletcher with a turnbuckle brainbuster for the pin.

WINNER: KYLE FLETCHER

Aussie Open beats down King until Powerhouse Hobbs makes the save, which leads to our next match:

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Mark Davis

Don Callis joins the booth as security tries to maintain order. They trade double clotheslines. Kick by Hobbs. Suplex by Hobbs. PLEASE PUSH HOBBS. Body block by Hobbs. Davis sends Hobbs into the buckle. Running forearm by Davis. Backdrop by Hobbs. Back elbow by Davis. Powerslam by Hobbs. Clotheslines by Hobbs. Boss Man slam by Hobbs, Davis blocks it. Spinebuster by Hobbs and he scores the pin.

WINNER: POWERHOUSE HOBBS

Lexi Nair is with the Patriarchy, minus Christian Cage but plus Nick Wayne’s ridiculously hot mother. Don’t know exactly what was said as I was mesmerized by Mrs. Wayne.

Earlier today, Tony spoke with Rated FTR. Dax apologizes for his actions last week—kind of condescending. They’re clearly breaking up. The story will be whose side Cash takes. Cash is upset about what’s happened. He’s torn between his best friends. Dax wants the AEW Tag Team Titles. Cash wants the Trios Titles. Cope challenges Death Riders for the PPV.

We have a Don Callis lookalike behind the announcers.

Swerve Strickland comes out w/ Prince Nana. Swerve calls out Jon Moxley. Moxley responds alone. Swerve wonders what happened to the “Great” Jon Moxley, hiding behind the Death Riders. Swerve mocks Moxley and what he’s become. Claudio comes out behind Nana. Nana refuses to look behind him. Moxley wants Swerve to be everything he can be and asks him how far he’s willing to go. This worries me. Moxley says Swerve hasn’t suffered enough. He will suffer at Dynasty. Marina Shafir comes out to attack, but Willow Nightingale blocks her. Swerve vows to win the AEW World Title.

Willow and Shafir brawl at ringside, broken up by security.

Katsuyori Shibata, Hook, and Samoa Joe are backstage. Nothing of substance happens. Joe chokes out Max Caster while passing by.

Renee is with Jay White, who enters himself in the Owen Hart Tournament.

Top Flight vs. Already-in-the-Ring guys Devo Kight and Alex Something (didn’t catch it)

This is a quick squash to put over the Minnesota guys. Only story here is that Big Bill and Bryan Keith are looking on.

WINNERS: TOP FLIGHT

Action Andretti and Lio Rush mock Top Flight at ringside.

We see a video package on Will Ospreay.

Mark Briscoe vs. Konosuke Takeshita w/ Don Callis

This should be damn good. Callis has joined the booth. Lockup, headlock by Mark. Shoulder block by Takeshita. Chop by Mark. Enzuigiri by Briscoe. DVD by Briscoe. Takeshita with an elbow strike. Superplex by Takeshita. Takeshita with a choke on the bottom rope. Running forearm by Takeshita. Briscoe responds in kind. Big boot by Takeshita. DDT by Takeshita on the apron as we go to commercial.

We are back and it’s a shotgun off the top by Briscoe. Flying elbow by Briscoe. Redneck Kung Fu by Briscoe. Briscoe drags Takeshita to the floor and nails a dropkick and a cannonball. He hits a second cannonball and then a Cactus Jack elbow. Back in the ring, Briscoe misses a Froggy Bow, but he connects with a lariat for 2. Takeshita and Briscoe exchange forearms. Exploder by Briscoe. Takeshita delivers one of his own. Knee strike for 2 by Takeshita. Jay Driller for 2 (Takeshita got his foot on the rope).

Chop by Briscoe. Takeshita with 2 rolling elbows and scores the pin with a Falcon Arrow.

WINNER: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA

We hear from the Death Riders, who accept the challenge from Rated FTR.

The Hurt Syndicate talk among themselves, lightly arguing about MJF.

Toni Storm & Thunder Rosa w/ Luther vs. Penelope Ford & Megan Bayne

Shoutout to Lex, the biggest Ford fan I know. Rosa and Bayne kick us off. Shoulder block—we have a stalemate. Headlock by Rosa. Chops and punches by Rosa. Storm tags in. Bayne begs off and tags in Ford. Kick by Ford. Knee strike by Ford. Backbreaker by Storm. Rosa tags in with a leg drop and a dropkick for 2. We go to commercial.

We are back and Rosa eats a body block from Bayne. Ford tags in and scores a 2 after a kick. Clothesline by Rosa. Storm and Bayne tag in. Jawbreaker and headbutt by the champion. Bayne with a forearm but Storm with a DDT. Rosa with a DVD to Ford. Bayne accidentally kicks Ford. F5 by Bayne for the pin on Storm.

WINNERS: MEGAN BAYNE & PENELOPE FORD

Bayne celebrates.

We go to credits.
