Spotlight Match: TJ Crawford vs Eye Black Jack Pasquale
Wow: Jack Pasquale DREW this house for a spotlight match, this being his debut from the BIOPro school. He gives TJ more than he expects early but Crawford settles in his hard shots and beatdown of the young upstarts. Ryan Clancy is at commentary and Crawford keeps taunting him until Fancy leaves the table. Crawford is completely distracted…Pasquale with the rollup and the three!!! Omg TJ lost! He attacks Jack out of frustration but Clancy makes the save and holds Jack’s arm high! That was a LOT of energy for the spotlight, that was a blast.
The ring is short! Why’s the ring so short? I’m gonna get d***kicked on a ref slide, I know it. Paul Crockett and Brother Greatness are at commentary. Rich Palladino is our announcer. Let’s get to it!
Match 1: Channing Thomas & DJ Powers vs Pedro Dones & Bobby Orlando
DJ and Pedro seems to have raided the same bin of sparkly clothes tonight. DJ and Channing are having a rough start in this 20-min contest (sponsored by dnasevolution.com cough cough). Double Bobby slam to the Bakabella squad (minus Sidney himself tonight). Channing and DJ with a well timed distraction and Pedro eats a forearm from the apron. They keep the pressure on until Bobby gets the hot tag. DI sent flying, Channing eats a backstabber. Dodge of the sick trick cutter! Springboard splash from DJ for two. DJ tries to steal Thomas’ piledriver? World class ain’t having that…but Orlando back body drops free, tag to Dones who hits a running headbutt on DJ for the win!
Match 2: Paris Van Dale vs Jazmyne Hau
Another good start for a newcomer but Paris just grabs her hair, throws her into buckles and taunts everyone. Good heat segment but Hau with a slick reversal and fisherman’s suplex. Top rope cutter for two! Paris stuffs another suplex and hits an Impaler for the win.
Paris calls out her former personal announcer Lauren St James. She says Wrestling Open officials threatened to fire her if she attacked Lauren again so she’s done with her. Lauren says as of NEXT WEEK….shes a member of the roster and Paris better find two friends for the 3-on-3 tag match they have coming at THE LAST STAND!
Match 3: Mark Sterling vs Wildhound Johnny Rivera
Why did Sterling spend all sorts of time pretending to be Stanley Dragowski? Just to make us love him…so he could take it all away. Sterling is out with the polka music and holding the Stanley mask. His former partner the Wildhound certainly has a bone to pick about this too. Sterling fires the Stanley streamers into his eyes and proceeds to beat down Rivera. He hits a hammerlock ddt but pulls the pin. He knows what we want…the Polish hammer! Johnny with a dodge and roll up! Sterling dodges a moonsault and the Polish hammer connects. A second hammerlock ddt puts the dog down in a very one sided match.
Sterling lets us know that he may have been banned from wrestling here after losing a match two years ago…but it was to Bryce Donovan…and Donovan called in a favor to get Mark reinstated, AS HIMSELF. NEVERMIND the fact that he’s been pretending to be a Polish Wresting student for 18 months. Big Boofa Dezmond Cole tries to confront him but Sterling says he gave him arrested. Sterling says he has no hard feelings. He was just a pawn in this grand ruse. And before we get much further, Jariel Rivera hits the ring to attack his opponent for the next match.
Match 4: Jariel Rivera vs Dezmond Cole
Rivera’s attack is short lived as Cole chops him up from buckle to buckle. Rivers with a cutter out of the corner. Some big slams and body tosses from Jariel. Cole with a split legged dodge of a backhand. Rivera looks lost…but catches Cole in a torture rack for a really good blue Thunder bomb. Cole dodges out of the corner…Rivera eats post! Boofa running wild with all the hits. Corner superkick, German, swanton flurry closes it out and Boofa gets a well earned W.
Boofa wants the mic. Sterling has been hanging at Commentary. Cole wants to fight Bryce next week at the Last Stand. After some pointed questions about Sterling’s professional relationship with Bryce, Mark gives him the match…but he’ll be in the corner!
Match 5: Allie Katch vs B3CCA
This is ALSO a twenty minute match sponsored by dnasevolution.com??? Wowza! It’s wild to see this matchup happening with this current character dynamic. Allie is all about embarrassing the pop star but B3CCA makes her eat a high knee. Katch with a popup and B3CCA eats the top rope. Katch says this is what happens to GABBY’S FRIENDS….they get HURT. Becca firing back with some slaps but Allie is bullying her and trying more to leave her laid out than simply pin her. Katch getting mad that Becca left some claw marks in her…Becca with a boot and v-trigger in the ropes! Becca heading up but Allie posts her. Becca escapes the heatseeker. Matrix dodge and a superkick for two! Becca tries to end this but Katch takes the eyes…piledriver escaped! Becca with a rolling double stomp! Back to the top! Allie intercepts! Hangman’s cutter for two! Katch pulls her right up for a piledriver for the win.
Allie isn’t done. She grabs a chair and looks to pillmanize her. Gabby Forza is out here to make the save! Forza is sick of this. She’s sick of Allie running from her and still trying to needle Gnomie. Allie says fine. If gabby wins, she gets her gnome back. But if Gabby loses? She has to delete ALL her social media. Allie doesn’t want to see her OR her husband on her feed again. And when her socials go? So do the bookings. Who would sign a wrestler with no socials. Bulk Bronson is out here. Her says their love will endure…but he KNOWS Allie will cut whatever corner she has to to make Gabby lose this challenge. He worries that Allie could take the Savage Gnomes away from them. Gabby clearly thinks it’s worth it. She accepts. Allie is overjoyed and Bulk is clearly worried.
Match 6: Hammer Tunis (w/ Steven Stetson) vs Tyree Taylor (w/ Brother Greatness)
Tyree spends a lot of this match as he should, beating the f*** out of Hammer Tunis. Brother Greatness is bouncing back and forth from commentary to keep Stetson on his toes. Hammer finally trips Tyree to the apron and hits a hangman’s ddt. Hammer tries a ddt but Tyree catches him and just one arm slams him down for the EMPHATIC three. Stetson does NOT like this.
Match 7: Danny Miles (w/ Steven Stetson & Hammer Tunis) vs Ichiban (w/ Brother Greatness & Tyree Taylor)
Stetson yells that there’s no way the Church gets lucky twice tonight. Ichiban picks up the pace immediately, sending Danny to the floor and flying out to join him. Ichiban keeps it up and the crowd is here for it. Ichiban popped up into the ropes…Miles unloading chops. Huge delay vertical suplex. Miles tries to break his back and make him humble, bubba. Ichiban out and running…springboard crossbody! Miles dodges a top rope splash. Cannonball! Gutbuster! We spell for Stetson and Ichiban damn near rolls up Miles for the three! Hammer Tunis gets involved, Stetson and Tyree get into it! Miles eats a Tyree spear! Top rope splash connects but Miles kicks out! Stetson has had enough and blatantly boots Ichiban, drawing the DQ. The church and ranch in a full on brawl but Hammer is left alone to eat a tandem Ichi Bankai! The church is looking strong heading into Steel Cage Warfare!
Our main Event is the contract signing between Big Bacon Brad Hollister and Fancy Ryan Clancy. We have a proper wooden table in the ring. Brad doesn’t want Rich Palladino to be master of ceremonies…Brad wants to talk. He’s welcoming the cage match. He can’t wait to break Clancy. As for the Fancy man? He feels that he has a responsibility to all of us to take the belt from Bradley. Of course it developed into a fight. Clancy almost has a monkey flip going into that table but Brad low blows him. He hits the tornado jackhammer…and fancy goes through the table…but he goes through the edge. Chriiiiist. That looks gnarly. Is Fancy gonna be able to take the title next week at Wrestling Open’s biggest show to date: The Last Stand at the Worcester Palladium!
