IT’S WEDNESDAY…and you know what that means! Welcome to PWInsider.com’s December 11, 2024 coverage of AEW Dynamite! Scheduled for tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming on TBS from Kansas City is the following:

Winter has arrived and is kicking off with tag team action!
AEW Champion Jon Moxley & PAC with Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta vs. Jay White & Orange Cassidy
The Death Riders make their entrance through the crowd.
Jay White wants to start things off, but PAC and Jon Moxley rush their opponents. White and Orange Cassidy see it coming and send PAC and Moxley to the outside. They follow them out and the action stays out there for a bit with Cassidy sending PAC into the guardrails multiple times and White slowing Moxley down with strikes. They end up switching dance partners on the outside with Cassidy hitting Moxley with a series of punches and White slamming PAC’s head onto the announce desk multiple times.
White sends PAC into the ring and the referee finally can call for the match to start. Moxley disposes of Cassidy on the outside. White tries to get a quick pin, but Moxley breaks it up and then tags in. Moxley’s kick is caught in the corner, allowing White to get in some chops. Moxley fights off a Blade Runner attempt and Cassidy tags in.
Cassidy comes in hot and goes after Moxley. PAC tags in, but Cassidy doesn’t see it. Cassidy goes for his patented punch, but Moxley ducks and goes to the outside. Cassidy goes for a dive, but PAC blocks it. Cassidy is sent to the outside where Moxley slams him onto the announce table. Cassidy gets double teamed and then sent back into the ring. PAC slows things down with calculated strikes. With Cassidy down on the mat, PAC jumps down on his throat a couple of times.
Christian Cage is shown watching the match from a suite, sitting with The Patriarchy and clutching his championship contract.
Moxley tags in and continues the calculated strikes until Cassidy uses a thrust kick to fight back. White tags in. PAC tags in. White comes in hot and drops Moxley from the apron, followed by a back body drop on PAC. White chops PAC in the corner and hits a DDT. Moxley runs in and takes a DDT, as well. White runs at PAC in the corner, but PAC blocks it.
While in picture in picture, The Death Riders keep control with Moxley tagging in and working White over on the outside. They briefly go into the crowd, but make their way back to the ring with PAC tagging in. PAC maintains control and knocks Cassidy off of the apron. Moxley tags in and drops down on White from the second rope.
Back from commercial, Moxley has total control, dropping down punches on White in the corner and then choking him in the same corner. Moxley gives White a hard forearm and then grabs White’s mouth. PAC tags in and drops down onto White with Moxley holding his opponent down. PAC goes for the cover and gets a two count. White starts to fight back, but PAC stops his momentum. On the mat, PAC slaps on a headlock.
Christian Cage is shown sending The Patriarchy on a mission.
PAC tags in Moxley, who pie faces White, which White doesn’t appreciate. White tries to fight back, but Moxley drives him down and locks on a leg submission, grabbing White’s face in the process. The referee breaks it up and PAC tags back in.
White catches a kick and Dragon Screws PAC. Moxley tags in. Cassidy tags in. They exchange strikes in the center of the ring. Moxley gets in a body shot and an elbow to the face. Cassidy rolls through a Sunset Flip and hits a Penalty Kick. Cassidy hits a spinning DDT on PAC and climbs to the top rope. Moxley meets him at the top. Cassidy bites at Moxley, dropping Moxley back to the mat. Cassidy hits a diving DDT from the top and gets a two count.
Moxley slaps on a Sleeper. Cassidy rolls over and gets a two count. Cassidy ducks under a strike and hits Slumdog Millionaire on PAC. White drops PAC, as well. Cassidy hits Beach Break on Moxley for a two count.
Wheeler Yuta gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Marina Shafir tries to get at Cassidy, but it doesn’t work. Cassidy drops Yuta. Cassidy gets a punch in on Moxley. He sets up for an Orange Punch, but Adam Page runs in and goes after Moxley.
Winners: The Death Riders by Disqualification
After the match, Adam Page continues to go after Jon Moxley. Orange Cassidy pulls Page off of Moxley and gets shoved by Page. Page goes back after Moxley. Cassidy pulls him off again and Cassidy and Page exchange strikes. Jay White comes in and goes after Page. Cassidy goes to give an Orange Punch to Page, but he ducks and Cassidy hits White. Cassidy then gives an Orange Punch to Page. White drops Cassidy with the Blade Runner. All three men are down as Excalibur talks about how Moxley must be loving that Team AEW are tearing each other apart. The Death Riders get into the ring and beat down Cassidy, White, and Page. They leave through the crowd when they are done.
A Bandido vignette airs. He’s on a horse in an old western town. The locals tell him that he’s a wanted man, with Most Wanted posters providing the evidence. He can go about things the easy way or the hard way. He chooses the hard way by using good old-fashioned lucha libre to take down those trying to claim the Most Wanted reward.
The Death Riders are in the back. Jon Moxley says that he’s a marked man, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s the only way to feel alive. He says that all those who want the next title shot (Orange Cassidy, Adam Page, and Jay White) have egos, but he’s going to give all three of them an early Christmas gift. At Worlds End, it’ll be a Fatal Four Way Match for the AEW World Championship.
Christian Cage has a microphone up in his suite. He has business to conduct. He talks about the Fatal Four Way match at Worlds End. Well…he has a problem with everyone in the match. Jay White and Adam Page both cost him the title, while Orange Cassidy gets on his nerve. Cage’s biggest problem, though, is with Jon Moxley because Moxley has the title. If Moxley makes it out of the Fatal Four Way with the title, then Cage will have his number. Cage is going to send Moxley back to rehab as Cage rehabs the AEW World Championship.
Cage goes to exit the suite, but turns around. Before he leaves, he just wants to say…HOOK appears at the door of the suite! Hook busts through the door and goes after Cage. Hook locks on a choke and attempts to throw Cage over the balcony. Cage fights back and tries to run. Hook catches him back in the suite and throws him around. The Patriarchy shows up, allowing Cage to run away. Hook fights off The Patriarchy and runs after Cage.
Continental Classic: Claudio Castagnoli vs Will Ospreay
Will Ospreay starts off hot, hitting a running Spanish Fly for a two count. Claudio Castagnoli rolls to the outside and Ospreay hits a dive. Castagnoli is rolled back into the ring and is met with a diving elbow strike for a two count. Ospreay goes for the Oscutter, but Castagnoli hits an Uppercut for a two count.
Castagnoli goes for a Neutralizer, but Ospreay lifts him over his head. Castagnoli lands on his feet. Both men collide and are down. They exchange strikes as they stand back up. Castagnoli grabs an arm and drives it down over his shoulder. They exchange strikes again. Castagnoli grabs an arm again and drives it down. He then uses the arm to whip Ospreay into the corner hard.
Ospreay rolls to the outside. Castagnoli follows him out. Ospreay tries to fight off Castagnoli, but Castagnoli works over his arm. Ospreay is sent towards the steps. He jumps over them, turns around, and dropkicks the steps into Castagnoli. Castagnoli shakes it off and sends Ospreay into the guardrail. Castagnoli Giant Swings Ospreay into the ring steps.
Castagnoli puts the ring steps on their side and puts Ospreay inside of them. He takes Ospreay’s arm and puts it on top of the steps, stomping down on them. Ospreay dodges another step attack and rolls into the ring.
Ospreay briefly fights off an attack and goes for a springboard attack, but Castagnoli meets him with an Uppercut for a two count. In picture in picture, Castagnoli slows things down, locking on a Sharpshooter. He transitions that into a Crossface. Ospreay fights it off, but Castagnoli is able to lock on a Sharpshooter again.
Back from commercial, Ospreay fights out of the submission and hits a Hurricanrana. Ospreay hits a corkscrew kick. Ospreay hits a running kick in the corner and then goes for a suplex. Castagnoli blocks it and works an arm again. Ospreay shakes it off and hits a suplex, followed by a Standing Sky Twister for a two count.
Ospreay takes off his elbow pad and sets up for the Hidden Blade. Castagnoli blocks it and goes for the Ricola Bomb. Ospreay slips out and locks on the Octopus. Castagnoli makes it to the ropes and hits an elbow. Castognoli works the arm again and hits a double stomp onto Ospreay. Castagnoli hits the Karelin Lift for a two count.
Ospreay blocks a running attack and lifts himself to the top rope. Castagnoli uppercuts him and goes to the top, as well. Ospreay hits a headbutt, knocking Castagnoli down. Ospreay goes for the Sky Twister Press, but Castagnoli moves and hits an Uppercut for a two count.
Castagnoli kicks at Ospreay while Ospreay is on his knees. Ospreay doesn’t appreciate it and tries to fight back. They exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Castagnoli hits a series of Uppercuts. Ospreay hits the Oscutter. Castagnoli rolls to the outside.
Ospreay rolls Castagnoli back into the ring. Ospreay sets up for the Hidden Blade, but Castagnoli hits a Pop Up Uppercut for a two count. Castagnoli hits a big Lariat for a two count. Castagnoli goes for the Neutralizer, but Ospreay shoots the legs and rolls over Castagnoli, getting the three count on a roll up.
Winner: Will Ospreay
Claudio Castagnoli attacks Will Ospreay after the match. He grabs a chair for ringside, but Darby Allin’s music hits. Castagnoli exits through the crowd. Darby Allin and Will Ospreay lock eyes as Excalibur gives the reminder that they will face each other next week.
Renee Paquette is in the back with Ricochet. Ricochet is asked how he prepares for someone like Brody King. He says that he came to AEW for things like the Continental Classic. Brody King might be big, mean, and scary, but…he’s not Ricochet. He takes out and looks at MVP’s business card. Ricochet says that tonight, he holds all the cards.
MJF is shown arriving.
The Learning Tree’s beatdown of Matt Cardona from Rampage is shown.
Renee Paquette is in the back with Matt Cardona. Renee knows he’s Alwayz Ready, but is he ready for Chris Jericho? Cardona says this is the biggest opportunity of his career. The Learning Tree sent him a message, but now he knows what he’s in store for. To get ready, he challenges Brian Keith to a match on Friday.
Kyle O'Reilly vs. Adam Cole - Winner faces MJF at Worlds End PPV
Before the match starts, Renee Paquette approaches Kyle O’Reilly in the back. She talks about O’Reilly having history with Adam Cole. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett interrupt. Taven is frustrated, but Bennett says that whatever happens - they are still family. O’Reilly expresses that he’s still upset about Roderick Strong getting hurt and heads to the ring.
Adam Cole offers a handshake to start things off. Kyle O’Reilly gives Cole’s hand a light high five and they lock up. They counter some quick holds and then lock up again. O’Reilly grabs a headlock and is sent to the ropes. O’Reilly hits a tackle. They stand. Cole hits a tackle. O’Reilly goes to the outside for a breather.
Back in the ring, they lock up and Cole grabs a headlock. He’s sent to the ropes and tries a Sunset Flip. O’Reilly switches it to an arm submission. Cole gets out and ducks a kick. Cole goes to the outside for a breather, but O’Reilly follows him out. O’Reilly kicks at Cole and then sweeps Cole off of his feet.
In picture in picture, O’Reilly sends Cole back inside of the ring and slows things down with kicks and knees. He locks on an abdominal stretch. Cole fights out of it and hits a hip toss. O’Reilly shrugs it off and takes down Cole again. O’Reilly starts to work over Cole’s arm and then locks on a seated version of an abdominal stretch.
Back from commercial, Cole starts to fight back. O’Reilly hits a running strike, but Cole blocks a second one with a superkick. Cole goes for Panama Sunrise, but O’Reilly blocks it. Cole hits a Brainbuster on his knee and gets a two count. Cole fakes a superkick and kicks O’Reilly’s knee. O’Reilly shakes it off and strikes at Cole, sending him out of the ring. O’Reilly hits a knee off of the apron.
O’Reilly sends Cole back into the ring and goes for a diving knee drop. Cole moves and goes for The Boom. O’Reilly moves, but Cole hits the second try. Both men are down. They both stand and exchange strikes. O’Reilly hits a Lariat. O’Reilly hits a Brainbuster and locks on an arm submission. He transitions to an ankle lock. Cole gets to the ropes quickly.
O’Reilly lifts Cole to the top rope and follows him up. O’Reilly tries to lock up Cole’s arm, but Cole fights it off and hits some headbutts. O’Reilly falls to the mat and Cole hits Panama Sunrise. Cole goes for The Boom, but O’Reilly picks his ankle and locks on an ankle lock. Cole goes for the ropes, but O’Reilly pulls him back. Cole rolls through and O’Reilly goes through the ropes and to the outside. O’Reilly drags Cole to the outside.
Cole blocks a suplex and hits a superkick. Cole rolls O’Reilly back into the ring. O’Reilly is out and the referee checks on him.
With the referee distracted, MJF appears on the apron and tries to hit Cole with his ring. Cole ducks and kicks MJF off of the apron. O’Reilly tries to roll Cole up and gets a two count. O’Reilly goes for an ankle lock again, but Cole rolls him up for the win!
Winner: Adam Cole
MJF angrily exits through the crowd, but turns around to stare at Adam Cole and yell at him. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett come to the ring and congratulate Adam Cole. Cole extends a handshake to Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly doesn’t accept and leaves the ring.
A Worlds End hype video airs.
FTR are in the back. They talk about the big Fight for the Fallen show on January 1st. They talk about their issues with The Death Riders. FTR will be at Collision and will be willing to have a conversation.
Chris Jericho is in the back with Brian Keith for a New York Minute. He heard Matt Cardona’s challenge to Brian Keith. Well, it’s official - with Chris Jericho on commentary. Plus, there will be a contract signing between Chris Jericho and Matt Cardona tomorrow on ROH.
Continental Classic action from last week is shown.
Earlier today, Tony Schiavone sat down with Darby Allin. Allin talks about the quest never being over. He talks about how The Death Riders are tearing down AEW. He talks about how he knows why the young AEW guys won’t get involved. However, if they don’t get involved, The Death Riders will just keep at it. He says that he knows he’s reckless. He punches himself in the face and blood comes out of his mouth. Allin talks about the Continental Classic. He needs to win the tournament because it represents AEW.
Continental Classic: Ricochet vs. Brody King
They circle and lock up. Brody King immediately throws Ricochet down. They lock up again. King tosses Ricochet. Ricochet gets up and strikes at King. Ricochet then uses his quickness to avoid King’s strikes while hitting some running and leaping strikes of his own. Ricochet goes for a crossbody, but King doesn’t budge and throws Ricochet to the outside.
King follows him out and chops at Ricochet. King tries to send Ricochet into the guardrail, but Ricochet flips out of it and gets in quick shots again. King catches Ricochet, though, and sends him hard onto the apron of the ring. King sits Ricochet down on a chair next to the guardrail. He runs at Ricochet and hits a crossbody on him.
In picture in picture, King rolls Ricochet back into the ring and works him over in the corner. He slows things down with calculated strikes, a choke, and some stomps. King drags Ricochet to the center of the ring and works over his neck. King hits a big chop and a suplex for a two count. King throws a couple of big shots.
Back from commercial, King hits a big chop. Ricochet starts to fight back and tries to hit a springboard move. King catches him and hits a German Suplex for a two count. King hits another big chop. Ricochet starts to fight back again. King throws more big shots and hits the ropes, Ricochet stuns King with a couple of kicks.
King heads to the apron. Ricochet kicks him off and hits a dive. Back in the ring, Ricochet hits a springboard 450 Splash for a one count. Ricochet kicks King. King begs for more. Ricochet obliges, but then King chops down Ricochet and hits a lariat for a two count.
King lifts Ricochet, but Ricochet fights out of it and rolls King up for a two count. King runs at Ricochet, but Ricochet blocks it. Ricochet tries to lift King, but King blocks it. King hits a Splash in the corner and then a Cannonball for a two count.
King lifts Ricochet to the top rope and chops him. King joins Ricochet at the top and goes for a Superplex. Ricochets fights out and hits a Flipping Powerbomb (in the process, the top turnbuckle comes off). He hits a Shooting Star Press and goes for the pin, but King raises his arm and chokes Ricochet.
King goes for a Sleeper, but Ricochet grabs the ropes. King won’t break the Sleeper, so Ricochet climbs the ropes and uses the top rope to break the hold. He goes to jump onto King, but King chops him.
They head to the top rope and Ricochet uses the exposed top turnbuckle - driving King’s head into it. King falls. Ricochet hits two running elbows to the back of King’s head for the win!
Winner: Ricochet
Private Party are in the back. Lio Rush and Action Andretti interrupt and want a shot at Private Party. Leila Grey and Top Flight interrupt the interruption and also want a shot at Private Party. Private Party suggests that the two teams wrestle each other for a shot at Private Party. The two teams agree.
The All In: Texas festivities are shown.
Renee Paquette is in the back with Anna Jay and Mercedes Mone ahead of their match next week. They have agreed to no physicality. Mone talks about all the big things Anna Jay is doing at a young age. At the same age, though, Mone was a multi-time champion. She tries to walk away, but Anna Jay stops her. Anna Jay says that she needs just three seconds to shock the world.
A video package airs for the main event between Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa.
AEW Women's Champion Mariah May vs. Mina Shirakawa
They start off hot, exchanging strikes in the center of the ring. Mina Shirakawa gives Mariah May a hard slap and then goes after her in the corner and in the ropes. May is whipped into the ropes and Shirakawa hits a dropkick to May’s knee. Shirakawa starts to work over May’s knee on the mat and then locks on the Figure Four Leg Lock. May tries to roll out of it and they both roll to the floor, breaking the hold. May is able to take control on the outside. She sends Shirakawa into the guardrail and works her over on the outside.
Thunder Rosa is shown watching the match from the first row.
May gets onto the apron and goes for a kick. Shirakawa blocks it and drives May’s knee down onto the apron. She then locks on the Figure Four Leg Lock around the ring post. In picture in picture, Shirakawa hits a kneebreaker. May is able to shake it off and hits a side suplex. She then drops down punches on Shirakawa. May hits a running kangaroo kick for a two count. May continues the attack in the corner with kicks.
Back from commercial, May maintains control with punches in the middle of the ring, but Shirakawa fights it off and hits a springboard enzuigiri. They exchange strikes until they both go down. Shirakawa strikes first as they get back up with a dropkick and a backdrop suplex for a two count.
Shirakawa climbs the ropes, but May uses the bottom rope to hit a handstand hurricanrana. Shirakawa shakes it off and hits an elevated DDT, using the top rope, for a two count with May grabbing the bottom rope to break up the pin.
May hits a big knee and Mayday for a two count. Shirakawa blocks another Mayday and hits a Sling Blade off of the ropes. Shirakawa gets a close two count off of a big slam. May gets up and hits a headbutt followed by Storm Zero for the win!
Winner and STILL AEW Women’s World Champion: Mariah May
Thunder Rosa is holding a sign that says “You are not my champ!”
Toni Storm’s music hits as Mariah May is celebrating in the ring. Storm is wearing her old school gear and has her old music. Thunder Rosa is in disbelief. Mariah May is in disbelief. Toni Storm is emotional and lifts her arms in celebration as AEW Dynamite goes off the air!
