1 - DOUKI, TAKA Michinoku and Taichi vs. Gedo, Stevie Filip and Tome Filip
DOUKI forces Gedo to tap out to the Italian Stretch #32.
2 - Tiger Mask, Boltin Oleg and Toru Yano vs. Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste and Mikey Nichols
Haste and Nichols hit Electric Blue on Tiger Mask and get the pin.
3 - Katsuya Murashima, Jado and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Dick Togo, Ren Narita and EVIL
Narita forces Murashima to submit to a version of a figure four.
House of Torture attacks Tanahashi and Jado and leaves them all laying in the ring.
EVIL and Tanahashi will have a singles match at Wrestle Kingdom.
4 - BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito vs. Jakob Austin Young, HENARE and Great O-Khan
Naito hit an arm drag on HENARE. HENARE lands on the mat, which looked like a normal bump. HENARE screamed and grabbed at his leg. The referee threw up the "X" sign and the match was stopped.
O-Khan got pissed and went after Naito. Young and ring official immediately rushed to help HENARE. Young lions rushed to restrain O-Khan who wanted to kill Naito.
Los Ingobernales de Japon raised their hands in victory and Naito was trying to keep everything "tranquilo".
This could be an angle to set up the drama between LIJ and United Empire going into the final night of B Block. Hiromu faked turning heel on Naito to get a win last night. O-Khan and HENARE could be doing the same. I see both of these teams in a 3-way or 4-way match at Wrestle Kingdom for the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
They played a video for Brody King challenging David Finlay for Wrestle Dynasty.
World Tag League 2024 A Block Final Matches:
5 - Ryusuke Taguchi and Alex Zayne vs. Chase Owens and KENTA
Taguchi hits a low blow on KENTA and rolls him up in a cradle for a pin
Taguchi and Zayne finish with 6 points.
Bullet Club finish with 6 points.
Both teams are eliminated.
6 - Ryohei Oiwa and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Callum Newman and Jeff Cobb
Oiwa was going for a superplex on Newman off the top rope. Newman twisted his knee and fell to the floor, screaming "oh my god!" The referee goes to check on Newman and throws out the match.
TMDK are the winners.
TMDK have 6 points.
United Empire have 6 points.
Both teams are eliminated.
Very unusual to have similar injuries from members of the same stable. Both HENARE and Newman fall to leg injuries, which could be storyline angles. We are one month away from Wrestle Kingdom. We will have to see what happens.
7 - Tomoaki Honma and Shota Umino vs. Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi
Umino hits a Death Rider on Tsuji and gets the pin.
Umino and Honma have 6 points.
Los Ingobernale de Japon have 8 points.
8 - YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. SANADA and Gabe Kidd
Good match. Kidd and YOSHI-HASHI chopped the hell out of each other. Then Kidd and Goto traded slaps and strikes. Kidd goes for the Oni Knee but Goto hits a lariat. They both tag out. SANADA goes for Skull End on YOSHI-HASHI. All four men battle in the ring. Bishomon hit a Shoto on SANADA. Kidd breaks up the count. Kidd hits a double lariat on Bishomon. All four men are down.
SANADA hits a Shining Wizard on YOSHI-HASHI. Kidd follows with a Piledriver. SANADA finally hits a Dead Fall.
SANADA pins YOSHI-HASHI.
War Dogs have 10 points and win the A Block.
Bishomon have 8 points.
War Dogs have beaten the winners of the past three World Tag Leagues and will have a spot in the Finals of World Tag League 2024 on 12/08/24.
Kidd rips into all the doubters and said he and SANADA will win World Tag League.
SANADA tells the fans "See you next F**king Time". SANADA is all in with the War Dogs.
