Spotlight Match: Nick Robles vs Dezmond Cole

This would have been a great match on the main card so in the spotlight! This was realllly good. Back and forth, Robles kept the cowbell nonsense to a minimum and went toe to toe with one of Open’s best. Boofa hits a springboard Moonsault that puts the rocker boy down for the three. 

Match 1: Love Doug (w/ Big Bacon Brad Hollister) vs Bobby Orlando

Bobby with a thez press as he hits the right and we are right into this fight. He keeps on the fight till Bacon pulls his leg and Doug takes over. Bobby tries to rally but Doug throws hold back with a handful of hair. Bobby with an airplane spin DVD for a close two! Doug with a boot and a slice of love for two! Bobby superkicks the rebound! Bobby bomb! Bacon distracts the sick trick cutter…Doug almost hits Bacon and comforts his boss with smooch on the noggin….and Bobby rolls him up for the three! Mom has knocked down another domino on his way through Big Business.

 

Match 2: “World Class” Channing Thomas vs CPA

Even though Sidney Bakabella is still on the injured list, Thomas is out here in full confidence that this is going to be an easy night. CPA is giving Channing waaaayyy more than he bargained for. Channing working the back and that damage adds up as CPA can’t manage to crunch the numbers. A big bomb and a running basement dropkick puts CPA’s lights out. 

 

Postmatch, Channing says he has the best dropkick at Open and he’s taking on Fancy Ryan Clancy next week to prove it!

Match 3: Seabass Finn vs Donovan Dijak

Dijak makes his Open debut night, bringing one of his NEPWA students to the dance for a huge test! It’s a massive mismatch on paper…AND in reality. Dijak just wraps Finn’s head up and squeezes him. Seabass is fighting back though and stuns the big man…and hits a dive to the outside…but that’s all he can do to him. Dijak beats Seabass pillar to post, inside and out of the ring. Huge toss across the ring. Finn won’t stay down! “How’s that feel” yells Diana as he strangles Seabass. Finn with a boot up and a flying uppercut! German out of the corner! Crowd is popped off! Huge rebound lariat! Dijak out at two! Finn tries a salmon splash but lands into the waiting grip of Dijak…he stands up and chokeslams him from on high! Seabass kicks out!!!! He’s on a roll! Corner charge after charge! Dijak finally hits a tornado boot and he pulls out Feast Your Eyes to put away a VERY game Seabass Finn after 13 fantastic minutes. This was excellent. Good F***ing S***. 

 

 

 

 

Match 4: Bryce Donovan vs Stanley Dragowski

Bryce has the gear bag and he is checked for weapons before he enters the building. Apparently he was forced to issue an apology to Jermaine Marbury for the attack a couple weeks ago. And he promises to wrestle “the right way” from now on. He offers Stanley a handshake. Its legit! Bryce is being SO sports manly that Stanley is getting annoyed. And Stanley gives me it right back and Bryce is furious. Huge black hole slam but Bryce doesn’t go for the pin. so much for “the right way”. Stanley fighting from underneath and getting some traction on Donovan! Is his knee out??? Spine buster! Stanley goes for the polish hammer…and runs right into a chokeslam and an AA for the win. A victorious Bryce mocks everyone and says his sponsor lets him play by different rules. He clarifies that his apology was for the ring hook he’s breaking Stanley’s hand with….Dezmond Cole makes the save! “What goes around comes back around” next week…Cole is calling his shot on Bryce Donovan! 

  

Match 5: Tiara James & Allie Katch vs Gabby Forza & Little Mean Kathleen 

Gabby comes flying in and Allie rolls right out. LMK graciously tags in so Katch can fight. Allie is much happier with this match up until LMK runs on her chest and hits. Flavor Bomb For two. Blind tag to Tiara and LMK is laid out. Allie gets her up in an electric chair…LMK rolls her up but eats a lariat for her trouble. Tiara with a whiff and LMK gets the tag to Gabby! Stampede to Tiara! LMK with a splash down. Allie pulls out Gabby. LMK sends Katch flying off the apron but James gets the roll up on LMK for the win! 

Match 6: Alec Price vs Joe Ocasio

This is going very well for the returning Landmine. Price is high energy but getting beaten. He switches tactics and goes for Ocasio’s knee brace and that’s proving to be a major factor in the mid match. Price stomps and twists and tears until that brace is off. Price getting crabby and Joe is in pain. He finally tosses Price over the top…the brace is back on and Price eats an exploder high into the buckles! Big meaty shoulders and lariats from Joe! Price tries to wriggle free but he gets tossed back into the ropes. Ocasio with a stampede! Swinging uranage as we hit one minute left! Alec kicks at the knee. Superkick! Chop block! Tornado ddt! He goes for the punt but Joe hits a flying headbutt! Price rolls to the floor as the time limit expires! The crowd chanting for five more minutes. Price looks to be accepting it…and rolls out before the bell rings. We may not have gotten a finish here but the returning Ocasio just went the distance with Open’s resident Ace. 

Main Event: GAL and Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) vs The Church of Greatness (Tyree Taylor, Ichiban & Sammy Diaz) 

After last week, any sort of victory for Swipe  Right over the reigning Open tag champs could be fuel for a title shot in the near future, if one isn’t already on the horizon. The match itself goes hard. Gal and Swipe Right do their damndest to beat down Ichiban. Tyree gets the tag in but he eats a heart attack dropkick. Sammy saves the match for his team! Ichiban with a dropkick from the heavens! GAL tries a chokeslam on Taylor….cactus clothesline! Swipe Right eats a double superkick! Double dives! Ichiban back in to eat a lariat but drops Gal on his dome! Ichi Bankai to Gal ends the main event with a victorious church!
