WWE Lakeland, Florida results 8/17/24
*Sami Zayn defeated Ludwig Kaiser. Zayn’s wife & son were in the crowd for the match.
*Braun Strowman & Odyssey Jones & Kofi Kingston defeated The Judgement Day's JD McDonough, Carlito & Finn Balor.
*WWE World Tag Team Championship: The Bloodline of Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa defeated DIY of Johnny Gargano & Tommasso Ciampa.
*WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Gunther defeated Damian Priest. Post match, Judgement Day came down to blindside Priest but he was able to fight them all off and hit McDonough with the South of Heaven. Priest came around ringside to sign autos & take photos as we head into intermission.
*Naomi defeated Chelsea Green. Prematch,Green ran down the middle class city of Lakeland and the only thing she was looking forward to doing was leaving in the Uber waiting outside for her.
*Kevin Owens & Randy Orton defeated ATown Down Under - Austin Theory & Grayson Waller.
*Lakeland Street Fight for WWE Undisputed Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa. During the match, Tonga Loa & Tama Tonga came down but Randy Orton’s music played as a distraction but he didn’t come out. Post match,Cody talks about this weekend and how he wasn’t going to miss these shows in Lakeland & Ft. Myers but will be getting on plane to head to Fanatics Fest in NYC before coming right back for the live event. He came around and signed for the fans sending everyone home happy. He did have a special weight belt for the loudest fan. He had her come into the ring to get it presented to her.
Notables in attendance, the mother & brother of Damian Priest who who go into it with Gunther during the World Title match, with even Mama Priest attempting to whip Gunther with her belt. Sami Zayn’s wife & son, JoJo Offerman & her children as well as Amanda Huber & Brodie Lee, Jr.
No return was announced, but the crowd was hot for everything, very few seats open.
