What’s your take on The Judgment Day drama ending up with both Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley getting kicked out and turned fully babyface? And then the Judgement Day consists of Dom, Finn, JD, Carlito, and Liv?
First and foremost, I think that Rhea will definitely be a babyface down the road. I could see Priest being one as well. With that said, I don’t want to see them get kicked out. That would not make them babyface (remember when the same group kicked out Edge). If/when they become babyfaced, they need to walk away from the group, not get kicked out. It doesn’t make someone a babyface when a heel group gives them the boot.
Instead of “please retire,” should the fans start chanting “take a break” to Chris Jericho? Maybe that will get through to him?
I don’t think you need to get through to him, he knows that the people are sick of him. He doesn’t care. In fact his new talk show seems to be his version of an F you to the fans. It’s sad, when he came into AEW I hoped he would be like Terry Funk was to ECW. Instead, he has become the thing he railed against as a kid, the old guy who gloms heat. Oh Chris, what have you become….
What’s your take on the super cinematic looking drone cam in WWE, the one that focuses on each wrestler when they get a big fight introduction during a title match? I don’t know if it’s a drone specifically, but the camera will put everything except the wrestler out of focus, and there’s a noticeable change in picture quality.
I like it. It’s something new and different. WWE’s production has gotten a lot cooler under Lee Fitting.
So Tony Khan admitted in his tweet that he caters his product to a small portion of the overall wrestling fan base. What does that tell you about him and AEW’s future?
Well, he’s honest, I will give him that. He seems to realize that what he likes caters to a much smaller audience than what the majority of wrestling fans like. It’s his money so if he wants to put on a product that he likes, as opposed to one that will generate the most possible revenue, it’s his call.
Only kidding here but here goes: Can anyone please tell me Dave to stop saying at the end of the day all the time? The only time it’s the end of the day is midnight not every time he wraps up his opinion.
You just did. With that said, I know I won’t listen. I have been doing things this way for three decades and that ain’t gonna change now! Plus, while midnight is indeed the end of the day, it’s also the beginning of the day, so I don’t want to be confusing.
