Any update on AEW tv rights negotiations?
I have nothing to report. I hope AEW gets a great new deal.
What are the future of all-male match cards on RAW, SmackDown, NXT and the WWE PLEs now that the WWE wants to promote gender equality and female empowerment on its shows?
There is no future for that, for the reason you mentioned.
With Bryan Danielson's concussion history why is he in the Anarchy In The Arena match at PPV?
Because he and Tony Khan want him to do it. Bryan hasn't exactly been going out of his way to be overly safe since his debut in AEW. He wants to wrestle the way that he has been wrestling. Personally, I don't understand his line of thinking but he doesn't care what I understand.
Swerve’s AEW World Title Run makes me wonder…why strap a guy with the top prize in a company…if he’s not going to be the focal point of your top A level, main event storyline or your main TV show?
It makes me wonder the same thing. Tony Khan has a history of getting someone to the top of the mountain and then seemingly having no idea how to book them once he gets them there.
I can understand WBD not making a big announcement about AEW at the upfronts, but no mention at all of 5 hours of their weekly programming for the next 7 months? Could this mean AEW is probably looking for its new home?
I hope not, I truly do. But with WBD losing the rights to NBA games next year, and the extra revenue that comes with it, I literally have no idea how they plan to go with content in the future. It could be a boon for AEW or it could be just the opposite. I have no strong read on the situation right. All I can say is that I hope AEW gets a great deal. The business needs them in a strong position.
