Is this AEW Arlington thing a sign that AEW is throwing in the towel on touring?  Isn't it sad they are going to run smaller places?

I don't think so, because Dynamite will still be touring and obviously PPVs will be in major arenas.  My gut is that it was a way to partner with a major city in Dallas/Arlington and try to do something different for Collision and Ring of Honor.  If it put those shows in a more intimate venue and the costs are fixed as a result, I don't see the negative.  If they are getting paid an origination fee or even getting the venue for free as part of a deal, it could be a positive!

If they were running 20,000 seat venues and not drawing, they would be criticized for not filling the seats.  Doing a smaller venue and trying something different, to me, isn't a cause for criticism.  We have to see how this experiment works.  I am more surprised they aren't just doing it in Jacksonville more than anything else, but trying something different isn't a major cause for concern.  If they pull Dynamite from the road, that's a cause for concern in my eyes.

I am watching old ECW on Peacock for the first time.  Johnny Grunge is supposed to be a Hoodie, but there's no way he's from an urban area with that accent - where was he actually from?

Michael "Johnny Grunge" Durham was originally from Louisiana before moving to New Jersey, where he broke into the business.

I saw you wrote the Dennis Coralluzo tapes were recovered.  Where were they?

The late Gino Moore sold them to Card Subject to Change Director Tom Disbrow when Disbrow bought the rights to other footage for his film.  Whether Moore actually had the legal rights to do so, who knows, but he did.  When Disbrow found out that The Savoldi family were trying to track them down, he revealed that he not only had them but had digitized them and offered them to the Savoldis, free of charge.  Marc Coralluzzo, Dennis' son is involved as well so that the tapes can be legally shared.  The 80-100 shows will be available on the Ultimate Classic Wrestling streaming service.

How about AEW buying ad time on WWE programming nationally to introduce their own characters?

It's a different idea, but I don't believe the expense would be worth it. You are talking about ad buys of 90 seconds to 120 seconds at a time. Just no way to conceivably recoup that money or even know such a campaign is working.  I'd rather see AEW do national ad buys in movie theaters or public transportation in major markets, things that WarnerMedia did in the past when the show was kicking off that seemed to assist with getting the public awareness up that the product was coming.

How come WWE doesn't just do a FAST channel?

They do have the free version of the WWE Network, but my gut is that eventually, we'll see WWE doing FAST channel type programming with a Pluto TV or a Tubi type outlet, likely using old archival content.  I can see it finding an audience very easily.  As long as such a thing doesn't conflict with their Netflix or Peacock, etc. deals, I can see them exploring it, because Endeavor is all about making money in as many revenue streams as they create.
