THE FUTURE OF MAJOR WWE PPVS REVEALED, LATEST ON WRESTLEMANIA 41 LOCATION

By Mike Johnson on 2024-04-17 23:38:00

As WWE pushes into the international space for major PPV events (or PLEs as the company likes to use in their own jargon), a major question among fans has been if and when the major WWE cornerstone PPVs may head overseas.

The short answer is, not anytime soon.

During a discussion at the World Congress of Sports earlier today in Los Angeles, WWE President Nick Khan said that the current plan is to keep Wrestlemania, The Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, Money in the Bank and Summerslam centered in North America - Canada and The United States and to take all of the other WWE PPV events international in order to deliver to those markets and the international fans.

On there not being a location announced for Wrestlemania 41, Khan stated that he wasn't ready to announce it yet and that Las Vegas is one of the cities being considered.  As we have reported previously in the Elite section, an announcement wasn't made over Wrestlemania 40 weekend for the next event as the final decision had not been made, with Vegas and Minneapolis being the frontrunners.  There are some in the company who believe that if Minneapolis does not get 41, they will land Wrestlemania 42 in 2026, but obviously that's not a 100% certainty.  Khan stated that Wrestlemania 40 would not take place on the same weekend at The Final Four going forward.
