WHAT I DON’T SEE HAPPENING WITH CODY’S STORY, RANDY’S FINE, WHAT WILL GET MORE EYEBALLS ON AEW AND MORE

Dynamite is around 200k less than last year and the demo is down. In, fact, for this week in the year, it is the lowest in both viewership and the demo since the show launched. As in, week 8 or whatever it may be compared to the same week each prior year. It also marks one year since Dynamite hit 1,000,000 viewers. Given Okada and Osprey have appeared in the past, do you foresee either one actually being able to get them over the hump?

No, I don’t.  Those two men are great wrestlers but they are already known to AEW’s existing fans and not to the fans that aren’t watching.  AEW signing those two men is giving their existing fan base more of what they like, which is fine.  But, it won’t move the needle in getting fans that aren’t watching now to give AEW a chance.  Better storylines and character development?  Yes, I think that could appeal to people that are not watching right now.

I know you say "anything is possible", so I guess the answer to my question is maybe. One thing the Cody story is really missing is Dustin.. What are the chances Triple H and Tony Khan could work out a deal to make that happen. Maybe Roman threatens to get to Cody's family, no matter where they are and Solo jumps the rail at Dynamite and attacks Dustin. Then Dustin shows up on Smackdown to help Cody "finish the story".

Unless Dustin gets out of contract, I don’t see it happening.  WWE doesn’t need Dustin to finish the story to their masses.  They also don’t need to give AEW anything.  I put the chances at 1% at best.

When Randy Orton signed with Smackdown, he RKOed Nick Aldis. Given this was his new boss on the Smackdown Brand, shouldn't he have been "fined" or "disciplined" for his actions? The following week, nothing. I thought Triple H made storyline that made sense?

They did address it.  I guess you missed it.

Why doesn't Tony just schedule a 5-10 min overrun every week instead of every now and then announcing they have a scheduled overrun when they go over every week? Obviously the network is ok with a weekly overrun so why not just schedule it?

Great question. I wish I had an answer for it.

Is this whole Rock/Cody thing WWE's way of getting us not to talk about Vince?

Boy, that would be brilliant if it turned out that way, for sure.  The only thing is that they would have been taking a huge chance that it would have all worked out.
