Brittany Pillman Evans, the daughter of the late Brian Pillman, posted a photo of verbiage from a WWE Nostaglai Agreement (aka a Legends Deal) between the company and the Pillman Estate on her Instagram Stories, noting:
"I never thought I would see this day but after 27 long years, my siblings and I finally own the rights to our father's legacy!
I just want to say THANK YOU to all the fans for keeping my father's name alive, this is all because of YOU, and thanks to WWE for making this happen!
Stay tuned for new merch coming soon!"
Pillman passed away in October 1997. He spent time in Stampede Wrestling before moving to WCW in 1989 and exited that company in 1996 as one of the most talked personalities in professional wrestling. He signed with WWE after a bad car wreck that forever changed how he performed in the ring but was still in the mix as one of the company's top heels during his run with the company. His life and times were chronicled in the excellent biography Crazy Like A Fox by Liam O'Rourke.
Pillman's son Brian Jr. now works for WWE NXT as Lexis King.
