Vice News reported on the Janel Grant lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis and contacted Laurinaitis' attorney Edward Brennan for comment on the suit, which accuses the former professional wrestler and head of WWE Talent Relations of massive heinous acts, including an alleged rape commited by Laurinaitis and McMahon against Grant inside WWE's Titan Tower in Stamford, CT.
"Mr. Laurinaitis denies the allegations in the misguided complaint and will be vigorously defending these charges in Court, not the media," Brennan told Vice. "Like the Plaintiff, Mr. Laurinaitis is a victim in this case, not a predator. The truth will come out.”
When Vice sought clarification on the statement that McMahon was the predator and that Laurinaitis, like Grant, was a victim, Brennan responded, “Read the allegations. Read the Federal Statute. Power, control, employment supervisory capacity, dictatorial sexual demands with repercussions if not met. Count how many times in the complaint Vince exerts control over both of them.”
Janel Grant's attorney declined to comment to Vice regarding Brennan's claims.
WWE and TKO did not return Vice's request for comment.
