As we noted earlier tonight exclusively in the PWInsider Elite section, there was a lot of talk at tonight's Smackdown among WWE talents that UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE star Ronda Rousey would be working for Ring of Honor soon. We also noted that Rousey had her gear with her at tonight's AEW taping in Los Angeles at the KIA Forum.
Well, Rousey is in the ring right now for a match being taped for Ring of Honor, teaming with her best friend Marina Shafir against ROH Women's Champion Athena and Billie Starkz, a rematch from their bout last night at Wrestling Revolver in Los Angeles. Rousey came out to Joan Jett's Bad Reputation.
The Los Angeles crowd, having no idea this was coming, popped huge and chanted "holy sh**" at the onset of the bout.
Based on the ROH taping schedule, it looks like the match will air next week on the Thanksgiving edition of Ring of Honor on WatchROH.com.
There is no word yet whether Rousey will be making additional appearances in Ring of Honor or AEW as of this writing.
