How stupid are single competitors and tag teams when they continuously go against heel factions alone? For quite a while now, whether it is The Judgment Day, The Bloodline, or Damage Control, outside interference and/or distractions from non-competing members are ALWAYS the deciding factor in a match. Will the opponents of these groups ever get a clue?
If it were a real fight, sure they would understand that. But, it's not.
And in a related question, while I know these are heel groups, is the creative team relying too heavily on this tactic?
To me, no. Faces are supposed to be tough and honorable, so of course they will take on anyone. Heels are supposed to be sleazy and underhanded.
Hopefully you answer this as it isn't meant at disrespectful. Dave it's clear you're a big fan of HHHs creative. But rushing LA Knight Vs Reigns in Saudi is poor booking isn't it? Knight won't win and his momentum is killed. I know HHH was once quoted in the media saying they want WWE to be the headline opposed to an individual but Knight is red hot and this really doesn't make sense?
I don't think he will win either, nor should he. With that said, if Vince were booking, I would agree with you. But with HHH booking? I don't. Look at Cody. Did his momentum die? Or Sami? I don't think so. I believe H will find a way to make the fans want to see Knight beat Roman even more than they do now. That is the way HHH usually books. Also, I have always liked there being multiple irons in the fire where the champ is concerned.
LA Knight Vs Roman at Crown Jewell! Why??!! Every wrestling fan knows we are getting Roman Vs Cody at Mania therefore Knight loses here. No matter how they protect him, the hottest rising star loses a title match. Seriously what is the sense in it?
I think a lot of people have too much Vince booking in their heads. HHH books a much different way. I am enjoying the ride. It feels to me like the old NXT did from a creative perspective and I loved that. I don’t think Knight will be buried if he loses. I think it will be just the opposite.
Despite barely being on TV, has Tony Khan made AEW all about him thanks to his social media antics?
All about? Probably not but he has definitely made a mark that some fans love and others hate. I wish his presence was more positive and uneventful because his outbursts don’t help the company attract fans outside of the core base.
