When Joey Janela wrestled last week for Game Changer Wrestling in Japan against Jun Kasai, Janela came out wearing a mask that was gifted to him by Director Harmony Korine that is from Korine's next film. Korine featured Jeff Jarrett in the flm Springbreakers about a decade or so back and wrote the classic film Kids that launched Rosario Dawson's career.
Announced thus far for TMart Promotions' The Gathering IV in Charlotte, NC this summer is former World Class star Brian Adias, WWE Hall of Famer Wendi Richter and Marty Jannetty. Former WWF and WCW star Maxx Payne aka Man Mountain Rock will be a vendor guest at the event.
Set for Thursday's Wrestling Open is Big Business (TJ Crawford, Brad Hollister, J Cruz & Victor Chase) vs. Ichiban, Alec Price, Dezmond Cole & Ryan Clancy.
The New York Wrestling Connection, which helped train and develop Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, Trent Beretta, Willow Nightingale and many others will debut on 10/28 at The Space in Westbury, Long Island, a 1,000 seat venue that will be one of the biggest buildings the promotion has ever undertaken. Andrade El Idolo vs. El Hijo de Vikingo for the first time ever has been announced for the annual Wrestlecade event Thanksgiving weekend on 11/25 in North Carolina. They have never been in the ring with each other at any point in their careers.
