For those that don't actually click through to the story it also states that Thurston was "told by a source that a typical AEW event has a drop count (also known as a "turnstile count") that is about 80% to 90% of the paid attendance or tickets distributed. In this case, 72,265 is 89% of 83,131."

Also, next week's Grand Slam is not doing well at the box office.  There are two for one tickets available for a number of sections of the building.  Remember, they did over 20,000 fans for the first show there.

WrestleTix had an interesting tweet for the upcoming Dynamite setup in Philadelphia.  Note that they drew over 5,000 last September.  They are only set up for about half of that this year.
